Use Gesso for a Shabby Look
Welcome everyone today I am sharing a slimline card using a variety of goodies from The Rubber Buggy.
I simply started out by using Memory-Place slimline paper collection called “Enchanted”. Perfect colors and style for the look I was going for.
I used chipboard from Mintay called “Nature Set” I used the baby’s breath looking piece and glued it to my cardfront and then added Mintay Flora Book 5 embellies that I fussy cut
I added some flowers I made and spread a bit of white
gesso sparingly over certain areas of my card to give it a shabby look 🥰

Stamperia Romantic Garden of Promises Birthday Card
Welcome back and Nancy, here to share a birthday card for one of my granddaughters using the Stamperia Romantic Garden of Promises collection. What a gorgeous collection and I certainly had a great time playing with it! Stamperia Romantic Garden of Promises is an explosion of spring flowers and tags for card making, scrapbooking and albums.
Instructions:
- Card Measures 7" x 7"
- Frames width through Nestabilities die set 1/4" wide
- All these shades of warm colors needed a pop of cream and burgundy frames using square stitched frame die sets.
- First, die cut the 3 framed from cream and burgundy cardstock on a white heavy 7" x 7" cardstock.
- Next cut out Stamperia pattern paper and adhere to base and mat the frame pieces.
- Add glue behind the Laserowe Love chipboard frame on the Stamperia cut out tag. Add glue and adhere to card. To add a bit of sparkle, I added the Pinkfresh Studio Sparkling Champagne Metallic Pearls to the center of each flower on the Laserowe chipboard.
- Add the gorgeous Stamperia Romantic Garden die cut with a hot glue gun.
- Create a jute bow and glue Wild Orchid Craft 15mm white rose with bow to card.
- Inside of card, create and pocket with the Stamperia paper and add Stamperia die cuts. Tip: I adhere the sides with glue and added the pattern paper and trimmed off excess around the card rather than measuring it first before gluing to inside of card. Cut out tags and insert in pocket. For my grand daughter, I added money to the pocket for her birthday gift.
- I type my personalized sentiment and printed on cream cardstock and sponged on Ranger Distress Photo Antique ink to blend into the patterned paper. I added more butterflies from the Stamperia die cuts around the sentiment.

Easy Shaker
Welcome to The Rubber Buggy my shaker is a bit late the past two weeks my family has been battling the flu that has been going around 😩 So I am late in sharing my card today.
To create my card I used Pinkfresh Nested Hexagon Hot Foil dies with black foil paper. I used the dies to cut out the center of my card and created a shaker window with some black seed beads.
Next I stamp and diecut the Washi Sunflower and colored it with my copic pens and adhered it to the outer edge of the card front.
I used a sheet of paper from the Botany paper collection for the backdrop of the card. Then I used a diecut sentiment from LemonTwist Simple Stories set to finish off my card.

Lawn Fawn Outside In Stitched Strawberry Cards
Welcome back and Nancy, here, to share some fun cards made with the new arrivals of the Lawn Fawn Outside In Stitched Strawberry die set that includes a strawberry shaped die with stitched border detail on the outside and inside edges that also included in the set the strawberry flowers with the cap. I paired one care with the adorable Lawn Fawn Berry Special stamp set and Lawn Fawn Strawberry Patch die set for that berry adorable shaker retirement card. Also, I used the same strawberry shaped die to created this space ship for the Lawn Fawn Out of This World birthday card creating a scene with the solar system of smiley planets and adorable outer space aliens!
Supplies:
Lawn Fawn Out of This World Stamp set
Lawn Fawn Cloud Border die set
Lawn Fawn Starry Sky Star die set
Ranger Black Soot Ink
Ranger Chipped Sapphire Blue Ink
Copic Markers
Beacon 3-n-1 Glue
Instructions: Out of This World Birthday card measures: 5 1/4" x 6 1/4". Sponge on Ranger ink for the space using the lighter blue in the center and darker as sponged outward. Stamp images with Lawn Fawn black ink, color and die cut or fussy cut. Cut out Strawberry die with white and blue cardstock. Cut out part of the blue die and glue to white strawberry. Punch a 1 1/4" black circle and glue to card for window. Add the mouse with flag to the circle. Die cut the clouds and add to the bottom of the frame and cut off excess. Stamp the sentiment. Glue the space aliens and aliens to the clouds and space.

My Colors 100 lb Heavyweight Cardstock 12 x 12 paper - Crisp Green

Beacon 3-n-1 Glue
Instructions: Happy Retirement card measures 6 1/4" x 6 1/4". Cut out the strawberry die on the Lawn Fawn Let It shine Paper 6" x 6" and then on 3 white 6" x 6" cardstock to create the shaker box. Cut out 4" x 4" acetate clear sheet and use glue and tape to adhere to back of one white cardstock. Glue all of the white cardstock together and then on the back of the Lawn Fawn Let It shine cardstock. Cut out the strawberry die to go on the inside of the shaker of red cardstock and yellow cardstock. I die cut the red strawberry with the seed die and then glue yellow strawberry behind red strawberry. Align the strawberry with the shaker and glue. Let dry and then insert the sequin mix and then glue together. Note: Some glues do not adhere to acetate so make sure you acetate is on well. Cut out Lawn Fawn Strawberry Patch strawberries and leaves and adhere to card. Stamp from Lawn Fawn Berry Special stamp and adhere to card.
