Lawn Fawn Get Well Soon Picture Changer

Welcome back and hope you are having a wonderful weekend.  I am excited to share two Lawn Fawn Before and After cards with you.  Have a fast recovery with these cute critters! It’s perfect for wishing someone a speedy recovery from an injury or illness, or for simply offering some “feel better” support when times are tough using the Lawn Fawn Get Whale Stamp set.

Before you start on making your Lawn Fawn Before and After cards, you will need to watch the Lawn Fawn U-Tube tutorial, click HERE to understand the purpose of using a lot of baby powder or cornstarch on your picture changer to make the tab run smoothly up and down along with how to put the tabs together inside the picture changer.  My grandson had wet hands and touched the picture changer.  I thought the picture changer wouldn't work again so I waited until the card dried and applied the baby powder on the picture changer and now the tab goes up and down smoothly.

Supplies:
Lawn Fawn Fall Fling collection 6" x 6" or 12" x 12"
Lawn Fawn Stitched Scalloped Rectangle Die set
Prima Marketing Melange Diamond Art Pebbles
Blue and sage green cardstock
Lawn Fawn Dad and Me stamp set (Fishes on bottom of whale)
Tim Holtz Distress Ink:  Tumbled Glass (Ocean and around scalloped frame)

Lawn Fawn Get Well Before & After
                                                                    Lawn Fawn Fall Fling

I was challenged with my first card and threw it away when I realized that I can't add any embellishment to the stamp on the picture changer when the tab wouldn't go up and down.  Therefore, I reviewed the Lawn Fawn tutorial, click HERE again and as well highly recommended on the tutorial was to add the baby powder or cornstarch to the stamped and colored image on the picture changer after being colored.  The baby powder or cornstarch will make the tab work smoothly when pulling  the tab.  I fussy cut the stamped images and then adhered the extras on the the outside frame of the picture changer.

I sponged on Ranger Tumbled Glass ink to the ocean on the whale picture as well as the scalloped frame.  I dabbed some NUVO Morning Dew gloss as well as the Prima Marketing Art Pebbles around the frame of the whale card for bubbles of the water.

I hope I have inspired you try out these products available at The Rubber Buggy on-line store.  My cards and projects are always posted on Saturday.  Keep watching and thank you so much for those wonderful comments as well as suggestions.

Enjoy and Happy Crafting!

Beautiful Dress cards with Stamperia stamps

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today with lots of fun products from the store.  Please visit the store for all the fun products I've used today.

I've combined assorted pattern papers from the 7 Gypsies Architextures paper pad with the Stamperia Fly High stamp set.  This dress is quite large and begs to be fussy cut and reassembled.   I stamped the dress on 6 different papers using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink because I wanted to give them some true definition.

Once fussy cut, each piece was inked with Tea Dye Distress Ink using a Ranger Ink Blending Tool, then reassembled on the base image.

The pattern paper layer was added atop a Bazzill Butter Mint cardstock layer then added to the card base.  The next layers were die cut using Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle Dies.  The dress was added to the card with Scrapbook Adhesives 3D Foam Adhesives and the phrase slipped behind it.

My next card was created from Bazzill Candy Bar cardstock.  The pattern paper layer was die cut with Lawn Fawn Stitched Circle Dies, added to a floral pattern paper, then added to the card.  The dress was then added with Scrapbook Adhesives 3D Foam Adhesives and the phrase slipped behind it.  Around the circle I added drops of Ranger Liquid Pearls.

Thank you for visiting.

lace ribbon from my stash.  The flowers are also from my stash.

Stamping Bella Uptown Girl Birthday Cards

Welcome back and Nancy, here, to share some fun Stamping Bella Uptown Girls stamps with different techniques for the backgrounds for each card.  The Rubber Buggy carries the Stamping Bella stamps and I just love the Stamping Bella Uptown Girls stamps.  I created three cards to share with you and will go through how I did each background.

I stamped each girl with the Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I used Copic Markers to color each one.  You can fussy cut each one but I have a very handy Brothers Scan and Cut machine to do it for me.
I always use the Beacon 3-in-1 Advance glue and Scor Tape for my cards and projects.
This adorable Stamping Bella-Uptown Girl-Curvy Girl Eats Cake is so much fun to color.  I find that viewing a variety of on-line videos of how people color their images helps me so much and advances my skills in coloring. I cut out the present below the girl from another Stamping Bella-Uptown Girl-Eva Loves Her Cake stamp since it seemed to coordinate well.
For my background, I used the Tim Holtz Rose stencil, Ranger Distress Oxide Ink:  Spun Sugar and Spiced Marmalade and some darker pink ink.  I highly recommend using the new Picket Fence Studio brushes new at The Rubber Buggy for sponging now.  I add the ink and then tap my brush on a scrap paper to brush off excess ink and then applied the ink for sponging.  I can pretty much clean the brush off with a paper towel to apply other colors.  After a complete day of sponging, I just use a little soap and water which cleans off all of the inks from the brush and let dry to use the next day.

This Stamping Bella-Uptown Girl-Eva Birthday Cake is still one of my go-to stamps for my birthday cards for my granddaughters.  I used a white pen for her dress.  I stamped out a Wild Rose Studio sentiment and used a circle punch to cut it out.  The background papers are in the Heartfelt Creations Classic Petunia paper pad collection..The patterned paper with the petunias was cut out with the paper pad and I added a scalloped border on each side before adhering the oval on top.
For the star background, you can use a star punch, die or stencil on white cardstock.  I added some transfer paste which could be substituted for glue. Let dry and then use a rainbow foil (which I used a rainbow transfer foil sheet). I love the festive shine from the foil for this girl.  Then I adhered the Stamping Bella Eva Love Her Cake with the sentiment on top of the oval.

I just love this Stamping Bella-Uptown Girl-Charlotte Loves To Shop for my teenage grand daughters.  I used a brick stencil and sponged on Ranger Oxide Distress inks:  Mustard Seed and Shaded Lilac before adhering her to the card.  Then I stamped the sentiment which came with the stamp.  I added the  Lemon My Sweet Provence patterned paper to the frame.  I adhere the Wild Orchid Craft flowers to the card with my ribbons.

I hope I have inspired you try out these products available at The Rubber Buggy on-line store.  My cards and projects are always posted on Saturday.  Keep watching and thank you so much for those wonderful comments as well as suggestions.

Fly Butterflies

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today with lots of fun products from the store.  Please visit the store for all the fun products I've used today.

Today I'm using the Tutti Designs Butterfly Dance Die.  This scalloped oval die has butterflies floating in the center.  I wanted them to appear to be in flight, so I cut another set of butterflies and added them to the base die cut.

After die cutting the butterfly image from Bazzill Marshmallow cardstock, it was placed atop a larger oval die cut from Bazzill Candy Hearts cardstock.

Butterflies were fussy cut and added to the base image.  After creating the card from Bazzill Licorice Twist cardstock, a panel from Dress My Craft's Whispering Love was adhered to the card.  Fly, from Sizzix Shadow Script #3 was die cut from the same papers and added to the corner with Scrapbook 3D Foam Adhesives for dimension.  Liquid Pearls in Platinum were added to the small hearts surrounding the butterflies.

My second card uses additional papers from Dress My Craft's Whispering LoveMay Arts Sheer Pink ribbon was wrapped around the panel before it was added to the card.

Liquid Pearls in Raspberry, were added to the small hearts surrounding the butterflies.

Steampuck Birthday Card with Tim Holtz

Welcome back and hope you are having a wonderful start for the new year.  I have a few male birthday cards to make right now and a nice change from making Christmas cards for the past few months. If you are looking for vintage parts for your vintage steam puck projects, The Rubber Buggy on-line store carries the supplies you will need from Prima Marketing, Tim Holtz, etc.  The Rubber Buggy carries these major name-brand craft supplies with fast delivery and wonderful customer services.

I had a sheet in my piling stash of old paper of gold mirror foil and embossed it with the Sizzix 3D Tim Holtz Mechanic Embossing Folder.  I used a brush to apply the Prima Marketing Finnabair Black Gesso over the entire sheet.  If you use a brush and tap it on, you will get more of a rustic appearance rather than brushing it smoothly.    I applied the Prima Marketing Metallique Aged Brass, Rich Copper, Ginger Sparks and Red Amber with some Ranger Dauber Black Soot.  Occasionally, I used a dry wipe to spread or remove any excess colors.

I cut out the edges of the embossed section before gluing and adding the gears that were also covered with black gesso and various colors of the same Prima Marketing Metallique waxes. I love using the Prima Marketing waxes since it provides a nice metallic sheen on this paper along with the Prima Marketing Art Alchemy Ginger Sparks.   I just use my fingers to smear these waxes and Sparks on the paper and gears.   I first applied the black gesso in thPrima Marketing Finnabair Art Basic Mixed Media Essentials Gesso Sets on the gears and screws and let dry before applying the waxes and Sparks.

I added the brown baker twine and then used a hot glue gun for the Tim Holtz Idea-ology Metal Word Bands.  I smeared some Prima Marketing waxes on the metal word bands.

I cut out some patterned brown paper and distress the one edge with my fingers and used a pencil to draw the stitches.  I applied the Ranger Antique Linen to the edges for a distress look.

I sponged on the Ranger Distress Antique Linen ink to the stamped sentiment and number 41st.

Graphic 45 Staples Square Tag and Clock

I had so much fun making these cards and hope you will too.  So have fun crafting this weekend with these products.   My cards and projects are always posted on Saturday.  Keep watching and thank you so much for those wonderful comments as well as suggestions.

Enjoy and Happy Crafting!

Friendship Cards

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today with lots of fun products from the store.  Please visit the store for all the fun products I've used today.

Using Scor-Pal Scoring Board to create 2 different sized cards from Bazzill Gumdrop Cardstock.  Mintay Papers - Love Letters 6x6 collection - was used to create the card layers.   For the larger card, a paper layer was fussy cut and matted with Bazzill Wax Lips Cardstock.  Additional elements were almost matted with the same cardstock and added to the card.  Scrapbook Adhesives 3D Foam Adhesives were used to add dimension.

Phrases from 49 and Market's Gaby's Hibiscus, were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, matted with cardstock and added to the card with foam adhesives.
