Love Birds

Good morning, Steph here.

I fell in love with this stamp by Mo Manning the moment I saw it.  Usually we see so many "young" people in poses such as this, but not the "older" folks.  So here's to those "older" folks who are still in love after so many years together -  Young Love by Mo Manning

I stamped the image with Tuxedo Black, my ink of choice when using Copic Markers, then I colored the image with assorted colors of Copic Markers from this set and this set and this set.  Then I used  Walnut Ink  around the edges of the cardstock before assembling my card.

Thank you for visiting.

Hanging Pixie Tilda

Hi all!

Pi back again with, probably, my last card with fall colours. In a few days it'll be December and will be all about Christmas:)

Pixie Tilda is really from the Christmas collection, but she is just to adorable not to play with. i copiced her in fall colours and voila!

This card was so much fun and really easy to put together.

The background is simple, regular white cardstock which I distressed with Time Holtz distress inks in mustard seed, dried marigold and spiced marmalade, I tore post-its to mask the edge. Then I masked a new edge, leaving a sliver of white in between and used crushed olive and peeled paint.

I also masked areas to create "layers" of grass. I used Vilda stamps in Archival olive green.

In the end I also tried out another of Tim Holtz famous techniques with the distress inks, I used a small acrylic brush which I dipped in tap water and just splattered across the background a la Polluck:) It was plenty fun and I love the effect it had in the card as well.

The branch is from Tim Holtz sizzix alteration holly branch. I glued Tilda hanging from the branch and popped them both on foam dots. The sentiment is MFT decorative doily, the smallest one, layered with a Sizzix framelites circle. The circle is distressed with both crushed olive and peeled paint. I stamped the sentiment with archival ink in olive green.

You can find the products in the store:
Smooth paper for copic colouring
(you can also use Tim Holtz distress markers)
If you'd like to embellish it more you'll find beautiful flowers and charms HERE in the store as well
Magnolia has a adorable mini doily if your looking for one...
Or if you're looking for a regular sized doily...

Thank you for visiting!!
Warm hugs!!

Joyful Tilda

I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving! Anyone venture out for Black Friday?

Now that Christmas will be quickly approaching, it's time to kick it in gear and get those cards made. This one took on a vintage flair (I seem to be doing that a lot lately). The paper comes from Magnolia as does Joyful Tilda. The flowers and twine came from my stash. Copic markers were used in the coloring.

Thank you - Cocco with present by Magnolia stamps

Hello Everyone,
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving to you all! I made a tag using my TH Sizzix die and I recycled my biscuit box and then covered it with glitter cardstock. On top of it I added doily and then designer paper by Magnolia Christmas story. I love this Cocco with present by Magnolia stamps so versatile, you can use this image in any occasions pretty much. I love coloring this adorable bear that you can find at The Rubber Buggy store. I colored the image with distress inks and by using pen nibs.  I added different kinds of embellishments and die cuts in this tag. I had fun creating this tag and I hope you like it.

Tilda with Flower Pot

Good morning Steph here with another Magnolia stamp - Tilda with Flower Pot . This is such a sweet image and can be used for each season - just change up the color of her clothes, the flowers, and the background papers.

Tilda was stamped on Copic X-press-It cardstock and then colored with Copic Markers.  She was cut out and added to the black mat with foam adhesives for dimension.  The background paper is Magnolia's Bumblebee paper and is a perfect backdrop for this summery card.

Cutting out your image gives you ultimate possibilities in creating.  Again, just change up the paper and colors and you can use this stamp for any season.

Thankful Tilda

Hi everyone!

Pi here again:)
I've created a card for your thanksgiving holiday with Magnolia stamp Christmas Tilda with cat. I'm so very fond of this stamp, I don't want to limit myself for Christmas to use it. I carefully inked the stamp with memento ink, tuxedo black, but for the letters on the sign. I think it worked out pretty well:)

Instead I used stickers to put together "time to be" and used one of Teresa Collins' flash card from Vintage finds collection. The designer paper is also from the same collection.
From the paper I also cut the bingo bricks as embellishment.

Can you see how they sparkle?

I tied a bow of organza ribbon and topped it of with Prima say it in pearls flower and some bling on the side.

I used a mix of promarkers and copic alcohol pens:
Skin: E50, 51, blush
Hair: E31, E25, E55
Dress: Buttercup, YR61, saffron
Wood: E33, E13
Shoes: E11, E13
Cat: E50, saffron, oatmeal

Designer paper used: Teresa Collins' Vintage finds
Flowers: I am roses
Ribbon and lace: For my stash

Sweet Baby

I have a few friends who are having buns in the oven and one of them is having a girl, so I decided to make her a card for her baby shower. A couple of my friends had bought her cards with all pink colors so I made this baby card with a rather unusual baby girl color combo.

The card was made using Mother To Be Tilda which I colored using Copic markers. I added some rhinestone swirls behind the sentiment and also a ruffled lace at the bottom.

Don't forget to drop by The Rubber Buggy store as there is so much awesome stamping supplies there :)

Brother and Sister

I just knew I had to have this brother and sister image from Magnolia. It reminds me of my children (except sister is taller than brother right now).  This image is another versatile one...love those! I made it into a Christmas card because I thought it'd be perfect for grandparents from both of them. You could use it for many occasions.

Candy Cane Love

Good morning, Steph here with a fun Magnolia image to share. Magnolia creates some wonderful non-person images and this Candy Cane is perfect to use for Christmas Cards.

I first stamped the candy cane on Copic X-press-it cardstock which is perfect to use when you plan to color with Copic Markers. Next, I colored the image with Copic Markers, then cut it out before adhering it to my card on several layers of dies cuts.

Scor-tape was used to assemble the card and a Scor-pal was used to create the scored lines both on the bottom of the card as well as the inside of the card.

Add a sentiment to the interior and a beautiful card is created.

Christmas Tilda

Hi again!!

Pi here with another Christmas card featuring Christmas Tilda with cat. I love this stamp, it will probably go on most of my cards this year and more to come:)

Magnolia has some gorgeous winter paper out now, with such a wintery feel to them with out the traditional Christmas colours. I did my best to match the papers with my copic markers, but I'm afraid there was not much to work with - a reasonable excuse to buy more copics - don't y'all think:) Anyway, the colours used for her dress was BG11 and BG 49

A part from the colouring and the drying time, this card came together pretty quick and easy - it's easy when you have great products to work with... The designer paper I used are from the vintage Christmas collection called ice princess and snowy wood.

The snowflakes are covered in glue (any glue will do) and sprinkled loads of Martha Stewart fine glitter in Crystal on top of them. Similar technique was used for the embellishment with the sentiment. I used a MFT decorative doily, the smallest one as my base, layered more Magnolia paper on it and then stamped to all with as a center. The intricate bits of the doily was covered with glue and sprinkled with MS glitter.

I tied a bow of some satin ribbon and the same ribbon in a wider size are layered at the bottom between the papers, but you can barely see it underneath the sentiment.

You Go, Girl!

Hi everybody!

It's Indah here and I'd like to Congratulate USA on the latest election held in the United States! And eventhough I'm not American, it inspired me to create a card inspired by the patriotic theme and colors using Tilda. And what's more fitting than pairing the card with Baseball Tilda, which is America's fave past-time ;)

The image was stamped using Memento in Tuxedo Black and colored using Copic markers.

Nurse Tilda

Hi again! I have another card using the Nurse Tilda stamp from Magnolia. This image is such an easy color and who can have too many nurse cards on hand?! Especially, when there are several in the family and some you go to church with. Plus, it would make a great get well card. Love images that are versatile!

There really was no rhyme or reason to making this card. I just sliced up papers and stuck them! LOL! How's that for creativity? ;) I love the vintage flair it has.

Beautiful Holiday Season

Good morning, Steph here with another awesome Magnolia stamp.

I used the Magnolia with Violin stamp, coloring her dress with Cool Gray Copic Markers and her hair and violin with shades of Brown Copic Markers.  A little Spica pen was used on the violin for some sparkle.

The card base uses some beautiful Magnolia paper.  After die cutting the ovals, I added ribbon to the card and then added some Clear Chandelier Garland around the knot. The garland is really pretty and adds such a nice touch to a card.  I added a stamped sentiment to the upper portion of the card which I added with foam adhesives.  This would be a perfect Christmas or New Year's card.

Let's dance!

Hi everyone!

Pi here with a new card.

I teamed Dancing Queen Tilda with Edward wants a hug and got a dancing couple:)
Both of them are coloured with copic markers, but Tilda's dress is paper pieced.
To really make them pop as if there was bright spotlights on stage directed as them I outlined the couple with Copic C0 as a shadow.

The card is accented with paper flowers from Panduro and organza ribbon from my stash.
In the middle of the flowers I've put some dew drops from Robin's nest.
The dancing couple are in a stage of a layered scalloped circle, both from Sizzix framlites.

I created the background with Magnolia love background stamp and stamped with cardstock with two different pigment inks from versamark, lilac and raspberry.
The left of the paper pieces I punched with Martha Stewart lacey doily and sprayed with Lindy stamp gang salt water taffy spray.
The sentiment is a die cut from spellbinders and I distressed the die cut embossing with milled lavender and wrote the sentiment "Let's dance!"

Don't forget that there are blog candy still up for grabs and we'll start off with the challenges in a week.
Until then my fellow teamies will have some gorgeous creations for you to enjoy - so stay tuned:)

Peachy Tilda

Wow! Is it ever crazy around here. I've been packing all week because we're fixing to move to WV! This is a quick move, so I've been on the go. I'm seriously 'bout to fall asleep sitting here typing, so if it doesn't make sense, there's my excuse! LOL

This card was kept fairly simple in the layout. I also kept the coloring minimal. I think it allows the image to speak for itself. This is such a sweet one!  It's called Peachy Tilda and perfect for lots of different occasions!
