Ciao Bella Northern Lights Snow Globe Easel Card

Hello Friends!  Debbie with you today sharing a fun dimensional card that is so easy to make and turns out so fabulous.  I used the Ciao Bella Northern Lights paper collection  from the Rubber Buggy Store for this card.  This collection is one of my favorites!

This card is called a Easel card and it's so dimensional and allows you to add so many elements to it And it folds up perfectly flat into a 5-1/2 x 5-1/2 card.  If you are sending this it will need a bubble wrap envelope or a box.

I used one of the Snow globe cut outs from this collection for my card front.  I added glitter using a glue pen  and highlighted the snow and then sprinkled glitter over the glue.

To keep the card standing I used a strip from one of the patterned paper s and then matted it onto some red foil cardstock.

I fussy cut some of the trees and the sleigh from the patterned paper and then popped them up with foam tape.

This photos shows where I added some of the glitter.

To finish this card I added some ribbon, holly and small pinecones from my stash.

Thanks for stopping by the Rubber Buggy blog today!

Happy Thanksgiving and Nancy, here.  My Thanksgiving was stocking up with the The Photo Play Gnome for Thanksgiving Collection with sunflowers, leaves, birch trees, gnomes, a cornucopia, and more to make a variety of cards and projects.  The Photo Play Gnomes for Thanksgiving stickers that can be purchased separately or in the The Photo Play Gnome for Thanksgiving Collection pack.

To see a closer look at these cards, click on HERE for a short U-Tube video.

Below is an card posted earlier this month made with the Photo Play Gnomes for Thanksgiving stickers.

Each card measures 5" x 7" and adhered with the Beacon 3-in-1 Advanced glue. I didn't realize until after my cards were made that Photo Play had a newer Thanksgiving paper collection, therefore, your plaids will be found the newer paper collection which is gorgeous.   I handmade the flowers with an ole sunflower die with yellow cardstock and sponged on Ranger Distress Ink Crackling Campfire ink around the center of the petals.  Behind the flowers are The May Art Jute Burlap twine and a plaid ribbon.  I finished the card using the sequences in the 28 Lilac Lane Shaker Mix - Safari Sunrise.   Below each photo are the buttons, beads and sequences in this mix.

Peace and Happiness

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today with lots of fun products from the store.  Please visit the store for all the fun products I've used today.

Have you seen all the slim line dies available in the store?  From Lawn Fawn to Tutti Designs, the assortment is amazing and they work together well.

I die cut the Lawn Fawn Slimline Forest Border Die from Lawn Fawn Rainforest cardstock and  Bazzill Marshmallow cardstock.  I cut the forest off the white layer as I wanted the forest to be peaking out from snow mounds.

Next I inked the edges of the snow mound with Distress Oxide Inks in Faded Jeans and Speckled Egg using Ranger Ink Blending Tools.

Using Tutti Designs Stitched Rectangles Craft Die, I die cut Maja Design - Sunbleached cardstock, then inked it with  Distress Oxide Ink in Speckled Egg and Faded Jeans.  For definition, I inked around the edges with Distress Ink in Black Soot.

Create a card from Bazzill Marshmallow cardstock.
Adhere the layers together and place atop the card.

Keeping the card simple, I selected a stamp from my stash and inked it with Lawn Fawn Black Licorice Ink.  I then stamped it directly on the card.

Ciao Bella Frozen Roses

Hello friends!  Debbie with you today sharing a fun card featuring the Ciao Bella Frozen Roses 12x12 Collection.     This card is a slim card with a pocket on the inside that you can add a candy bar or tea bags or any little gift to it that you like.  The front of the card is a shaker card and the inside I added a card and candy bar.

Directions:

This slimline cards, measures 8 1/2″ x 3 1/2″. Here’s how to create the base for this fun card.

First, score coordinating cardstock 8 1/2″ x 11″ cardstock on the long side at 3 1/2″ , 4″, 7 1/2″, 8″ and 9 -1/2″.
Now fold along the scored lines to create an 8 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ top fold card base with a 1/2″ spine at the top.
Top with an 8 3/8″ x 3 3/8″ panel of  patterned paper.  Top all panels with patterned paper

Create the shaker element from a a die cut circle and one of the die cuts from the Cia Bell Frozen Roses ephemera that comes with the collection . Stamp your sentiment . Then back the die cut circle frame acetate. Add layers of foam tape. Place your faux snow mix in the center of the sentiment and adhere your die cut circle frame to the die cut sentiment.
Add your embellishments and ribbon to the card front.

To add the box pocket inside this card. First, fold along the scored lines. You can see the 1/2″ spine on the bottom of the pocket in this photo.

Fold the extra scored flap behind the pocket area to make a sturdy pocket.

Next, cut (2) 1 1/2″ x 1 1/2″ pieces of coordinating cardstock from your scraps.

Now score each of these at 1/2″ and 1″. Fold along the scored lines. These will be the sides of the pockets. Adhere the left and right hand flaps to the back of the pocket and to the base of the card.

Now all you need to do is decorate your card and add a little treat to the pocket. Create a small note card from a cut out in the designer paper  and adhere it to a piece of cardstock.

This fun card is easy to make and it takes just a few minutes to make. Adding a candy bar in the pocket makes a fun little gift.

Ciao Bella Frozen Roses card

Welcome and has winter arrived in your area?  Nancy, here, and  I can really feel winter has come to our town with the two feet of snow.  The Ciao Bella Frozen Roses patterned paper is a reminder of the gorgeous beginning of winter of frosting on the last rosebuds, gold finches flying on a frozen fountain and an adorable white musk with white cotton snow under his feet.  This beautiful collection along with other gorgeous Ciao Bella collections are available at The Rubber Buggy online and retail store.
Ciao Bella Frozen Roses

Can you imagine what you would like to create with these beautiful wintery scenes for your next project.  This collection also is available in single sheets at The Rubber Buggy.

I cut out the circle and added a white doily die cut behind it.  I fussy cut the lantern and roses and layered it around the circle.
I added Wild Orchid Craft 10mm rose and used the NUVO Crystal Glitter-White Blizzard (my all time favorite) on each rose and pine cone and throughout the card to coordinate with the frozen roses in the pattern paper.  This glitter appears as frost or snow when applied to my cards.  I am so happy that The Rubber Buggy was able to restock the NUVO White Blizzard since I use this as the last touch to complete a wintery or Christmas card.

I adhered the card with Beacon 3-n-1 Advanced Glue.

I love the beautiful frame with the sentiment that is included in the Ciao Bella Frozen Roses paper collection along with the beautiful birds scene on the left side.  I scan the paper and pasted the sentiment to this paper before printing it out.  I love to do this to really personalize the inside of a card.

North Pole Love

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today with lots of fun products from the store.  Please visit the store for all the fun products I've used today.

I've used Lawn Fawn Large Slimline Dies with Sliders to create my card bases.  The first base was die cut from Bazzill Jawbreaker Cardstock and a smaller piece was die cut from Bazzill Marshmallow Cardstock.

The snowflakes, from Poppy Stamp Die - Crystal Ornaments Craft Die, was also die cut from Bazzill Marshmallow Cardstock.

Rudi, a Prima Marketing - Julie Nutting stamp, is a perfect sized stamp for slimline cards.  I stamped the elements with Lawn Fawn Black Licorice Ink, heat set, colored each with Copic Markers and then die cut with the included dies.

I inked the edges of each stamped piece before adding them to the card.

I spritzed the panel of the second card with one of the colors from Lindy's Stamp Gange - Neon Graffiti - Sidewalk Chalk - to simulate snow, then also die cut it with Lawn Fawn Large Slimline Die with Sliders.

The snowflake die was added to the cards, then Rudi and the North Pole sign were added to the cards with foam adhesives for dimension.

This card is called a Z fold card and it's so dimensional and allows you to add so many elements to it, it's like a pop up box card in the center where you can add cute little  elements from the paper collection. And it folds up perfectly flat into a 5-1/2 x 5-1/2 card.  If you are sending this it will need a bubble wrap envelope of a box.

Merry Christmas Card

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today with lots of fun products from the store.  Please visit the store for all the fun products I've used today.

I'm having fun with Lawn Fawn Slimline dies and found them to be perfect for this Christmas card.

Using the coordinating Lawn Fawn Ho Ho Holidays dies, I die cut the images after coloring them with Copic Markers.

Creating a card from Bazzill Wax Lips Cardstock, I  added the next layer from Maja Designs Vintage Summer 1923 pattern paper using Lawn Fawn Large Slimline with Sliders.   The top layer was die cut from Bazzill Gumdrop Cardstock using the 2  Lawn Fawn Small Slimline Dies with Lift the Flap together.  I also die cut another red panel and adhered them together.

The card was assembled.  You can see the red cardstock peeking out behind the panels which are perfectly scored during the die cutting process.

Next, I added the stamped images on the flaps.  Merry Christmas, a Lawn Fawn Border Line Die was die cut from Wax Lips Cardstock and added above the flips.

Inside I added Mr. and Mrs. Claus to the base on the outside panels.   I also stamped the phrases (which are included in the stamp set), on white cardstock and placed it behind the center panel.

Finally, I used Ranger Liquid Pearls in Garnet and Platinum to add dimension to the deer and the "i" in Christmas.

This is a really cute card that a child would enjoy opening don't you think?
