Pion Design Home for Christmas Puppy Cards

Welcome back and Happy Thanksgiving from our home to yours.  Nancy, here, and having super fun making Christmas cards right now and excited to share the beautiful Pion Design - Home for Christmas with gorgeous pictures of puppies, kitties, and children with the most beautiful looking colors of stitched and plaid fabric looking cardstock of Christmas greens, reds and browns.  There is so many cards that can be made using only three cardstocks from the Pion Design Home For Christmas collection but also check out the other beautiful cardstock from this same collection.

I got carried away making these 5" x 6" and 4" x 5" cards.  I didn't want to layer these cards much to keep the focus on the puppies as well as for mailing cost.  I applied the NUVO Crystal White Blizzard glitter glue around the pine needles and dog colars.

Lawn Fawn Frosted Fairy Friends Birthday Card

Welcome back and Nancy, here, to share a birthday card for a friend for this time of wintery weather with Lawn Fawn Frosted Fairy Friends stamp set of fairies dressed in winter wardrobes and complete with frosty pine needle branches and an adorable tree trunk house just waiting for you to decorate for your next card.   There is a new arrival that you will want to have this year is the gorgeous Lawn Fawn Stitched Snow Flake Back Drop die for your wintery cards and also for your Christmas cards.
After cutting out the Lawn Fawn Stitched Snow Flake Back Drop die, I sponged it on with the Ranger Distress Oxide inks of Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean before adding it to the Lawn Fawn Stitched Scalloped Rectangle frame.

I had to add the Lawn Fawn Year Seven Pinata Llama stamp set for a birthday with the little fairies smacking the llama with the treats falling out of the pinata.  I added extra bling and got carried away with the NUVO White Blizzard glitter drops and Flower Soft snow flakes which bought out a little extra excitement on those adorable fairies, clouds and snowflakes on the front and inside of my card.  I used the Lawn Fawn Puffy Cloud Border die for the clouds and stamped the sentiment with black ink.  Since I struggle with my eye and hand coordination using the very small dies available at The Rubber Buggy for the coordinating Lawn Fawn stamp sets, I cut out all of my stamp sets with my Brother's Scan and Cut machine.

The card measures 5 x 6.  For the inside of the card, I used the new arrival of the Lawn Fawn Let It Shine Snowflake paper that comes in two sizes: 12" x 12" or 6" x 6".  I just love the metallic snowflakes on a variety of colored cardstock in this collection with the other side of the paper with just snow.

I added Lawn Fawn Happy Birthday Pop-Up Happy Birthday die and used some of the snowflakes from the Lawn Fawn Frosted Fairy Friends stamp set.  I added the Flower Soft Snowflakes on the Happy Birthday die to make it look a little frosty as well as the fairies' house.

I typed my sentiment to my friend and added the llama with all of his goodies and the other fairy in this collection.

With Christmas around the corner and very limited supplies available, order early with The Rubber Buggy on-line store while supplies last since these adorable Lawn Fawn stamp and die sets will sell out soon.

Instructions:
  • My card base measures 5" x 7".  I used heavy weight poster board for my cards bases.  I start with cutting for this card a 10" x 14" and use the Scor-Pal Score board with the score bone and score the center and fold using the score bone for a better fold for my card.
  • Started with the Graphic 45 Journal Cards for the main focus and Graphic 45 Let It Snow paper pad and/or Graphic 45 Let It Snow Pattern and Solid color cardstock that coordinates well together.
  • Cut out the labels from the Graphic 45 Let It Snow paper pad.
  • Add the blue snowflakes from the Graphic 45 Let It Snow Die Cut Assortment packet
  •  I adhered a die cut border around the blue card
  • I die cut a  Snowflake die for the center of one handmade bow.  The Rubber Buggy has a huge selection of snowflake dies available.
  • I sprayed adhesive glue behind two of the corner borders die cuts and adhered to the card on the left.
  • For my winter and Christmas cards, I add glue around the snow and add white Flower Soft for snow and then add NUVO Crystal White Blizzard Glitter Drops for make the snow shimmer.

Season's Greeting Graphic 45 Let It Snow

Welcome back and Nancy, here.  Hope you are getting your Christmas card made early this year while supplies are available at The Rubber Buggy.  I am having so much fun this year making mine with the gorgeous Graphic 45 Let It Snow Collection of snowy images of the vintage Santas and their furry winter friends of bears, bunnies and owls in the scenes of gorgeous blues, burgundy reds and forest green colors.

  • My card base measures 6 1/2" x 6 1/2"
  • I framed the Santa from the Graphic 45 Die Cut Assortment package with solid color of gold measuring 3 3/4" x 5" and red 4 1/4" x 5 1/4" from the Graphic 45 Let It Snow Pattern and Solid color cardstock.  I found a die cut doily that was glued behind center framed Santa.
  • The next layer measures 5 3/4" x 6" of the Graphic 45 Let It Snow Poinsettia Parade cardstock or also found in the paper pad.
  • The bronze metallic cardstock measures 6" x 6 1/4".
  • The final outside frame of red cardstock from the Graphic 45 solid/pattern pad measures 6 1/4" x 6 1/4"
  • I added some snow flakes and ornament from the Graphic 45 Die Cut Assortment package and handmade gold bow with jute.
  • Add some NUVO Crystal White Glitter Drops throughout the die cuts for the final touch of shimmer of the snow and glimmer.

Christmas Lawn Fawn Snowflake cards

Welcome back and Nancy, here, to share some very fun and easy cards to make using the new Lawn Fawn stamps and die sets available at The Rubber Buggy.com.   With Christmas around the corner and very limited supplies available, order early while supplies last since these adorable Lawn Fawn stamp and die sets will sell out soon.

Can you imagine what fun you will have this year making your adorable children or grand children and even adults with this fun snowflake die that can be created as a wreath, the gorgeous background made with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Snowflake Backdrop/background and I am just loving the Lawn Fawn Furry and Bright stamp and Lawn Fawn  Joy To All this year.  The Lawn Fawn Magic Holiday Messages stamp set coordinates with the Lawn Fawn Snowflake Add-On die so well.  So have fun with those adorable kiddos and furry puppies on your next Christmas cards.

Supplies:

Instructions:

  • The base of the cards measures 4 1/2" x 6".
  • I die cut the Lawn Fawn Stitched Snowflake Backdrop/background on white glimmer cardstock.
  • I cut out a Lawn Fawn Snowflake Add-On die  and sprayed on an adhesive spray and sprinkled on white glitter.  On the other card, I made a wreath Lawn Fawn Snowflake Add-On die and cut out three snowflakes and adhered the snowflake cutouts together.
  • What works for me is to stamp the Lawn Fawn Magic Holiday Messages on a white cardstock, center it in the Lawn Fawn Snowflake Add-On die and cut it out rather than finding a circle punch or die to fit inside the snowflake.  I stamped the messages with my Misti Stamp Tool with an embossing pad and used the NUVO Glitter embossing powders:  Red Tinsel and Silver Tinsel which has gorgeous shine to it after using the embossing gun.  NOTE:  If you don't have a stamp tool, invest in one since it is something you will use every time for a perfect stamp.  You will find that you might reink the stamp a few times using the stamp tool to get the darkest of color you want.  I bought one for each of my friends for their birthday and they use it for every time they stamp. We also take off the old stamp on a wooden block and now put it on the stamp tool. If you can't peel the old stamp off of the wooden block,  just put it in the microwave a 15 seconds and it will peel off.
  • I stamped the Lawn Fawn Furry and Bright stamp and Lawn Fawn  Joy To All.  Since I struggle with eye and hand coordination for the Lawn Fawn dies that coordinate with the stamps set, I used a Scan and Cut machine to cut out all of the images.  I like stamping all of the images on heavy white cardstock and then use my printer to print these out on 80lb Neenah white smooth cardstock so I can reuse these images over again rather than color these every time since I spend so much time coloring them.  I stamped the sentiment of "May Your Days be Furry and Bright using the Lawn Fawn Burry and Bright stamp set.
  • I cut out some ornaments from the Lawn Fawn  Joy To All and added these to the wreath.
  • I cut some of the side of the snowflake background to fit inside the Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle Scallop Frame die and then cut out the Lawn Fawn Let It Shine stripped paper which is my all time favorite Christmas paper.  It is two sided and comes in several colors and the other side looks like snow falling.  It comes in a 12" x 12" or 6" x 6" paper pad.

My cards and projects are always posted on Saturday.  Keep watching and thank you so much for those wonderful comments as well as suggestions.
