North Pole Rudi

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today with lots of fun products from the store.  Please visit the store for all the fun products I've used today.

I've used  Rudi this week.  She is a lovely stamp and die set combination from Julie Nutting for Prima.  Wow, can't tell how much I love this stamp set and the die!  Of course, I had to color her with assorted Copic Markers.

I wanted her a little "rugged" so I selected a burlap type paper from Stamperia's Roses, Laces and Wood paper pack which was placed on a card created from Bazzill Candy Bar cardstockSpellbinders dies were used on an additional sheet from the Stamperia collection.  Rudi was added with foam adhesives and a Stamperia tag was slipped behind her.

The North Pole sign was added to the tag and Nuvo Crystal Drops added for dimension.

I see lots of Rudi creations in my future!!!!!

Thank you for visiting

Art Impressions Birthday card at The Rubber Buggy

At The Rubber Buggy I am creating using the Tim Holtz Stamping Platform. I actually have the Misti also but the platform space is larger and will adapt to layout size papers too and open inside stamping for cards. mini Misti however will do the thinner stamps better however... so keeping both of them for different duties.
For the this card I am using the Art Impressions Maturing Set + dies #4831. OMG it was so full of fun.... great images for outside and inside the card along with the perfect sentiment. Above is the front of card which I added some die cut apart pieces to decorate it.... and below you can see the inside of card. All my projects use Beacon 3-in-1 glue and Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Ink.Memento Tuxedo Black Ink

I stamp my images..... and love that if it needs a 2nd or 3rd pass at stamping and alignment is perfect.

My images are stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink for colouring using Copic Markers. I always accent with a white gel pen.

The dies come with this set so you can die cut them so easily.

Thanks for stopping by. Be sure to visit the STORE to view these and so many other products.... even lines not carried by the other stores.

Lemon Craft Yesterday Birthday Card

Welcome back and hope you are enjoying your summer.  Harvest is good this year despite all of the repairs.

I made this card using the gorgeous Lemon Craft Yesterday paper collection along with the
Lemon Craft Vintage 021 Butterfly Collection paper.  Love the vintage pastel patterned papers in this paper collection.  The Rubber Buggy has the gorgeous collection of Lemon Craft paper collections for you.

Also, I have used a variety of fast grab quick drying glues.  I bought the Beacon 3-1 Glue and this glue will  almost stick to anything very nicely on my craft projects at all times.  I highly recommend this.  Not only does it grab very well but it glues quickly and clearly and flows  out of the bottle so well.

I love all of the variety of butterflies that is found with the variety of Lemon Craft Vintage butterfly papers.  I used the butterfly from the Lemon Craft Vintage 021.  I had a couple other Lemon Craft Vintage butterfly papers that I love for my cards and projects.  I cut out the pink butterfly, shaped the wings with a roundness of the pencil handle to give it a soft curve to make it look like it is flying and used a damp paper cloth and sponged on some soft pink inks around the wings.
I used the NUVO glitter pen on the butterfly and roses on the paper to bring out more of the colors.  Hopefully, you can see the gorgeous shimmer on the butterfly from the NUVO glitter pen.

I cut off white floral wire from a paper flower and twisted it to for the body of the butterfly.  I used a hot glue gun to glue the wire on the butterfly.
I cut out this cone template for the fan by folding the paper and cutting it as shown below.  I align the template to the top of each Lemon Craft patterned paper squares (found in the paper pad) with the lace from the Lemon Craft Yesterday paper pad.  I edge each fan petal with pink from a sponge or paper town and glued the fans together.  I used Prima Marketing Artisan tape to adhere the lace and bow on the fan.

I found this cameo jewelry charm and used Prima Marketing Clear Gesso.  After the gesso dried, I used my fingers to paint the cameo with Prima Marketing Butterfly Spells Spark paint.  I adhered it to the bow with a hot glue gun.  To see the difference the top charm and metal corner are painted with the gesso and sparks, the bottom charm and corner haven't been painted yet (photo below).

To finish off most of my cards (see photo above), adhere the crystals found in the Prima Marketing Say It In Crystals sets.  The two SIIC sets are only a small sample of the other gorgeous Prima Marketing Say It in Crystal sets that are available at The Rubber Buggy.  Be sure to check out the new arrivals like Prima Marketing Santa Crystals.

Adventure Time

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today with lots of fun products from the store.  Please visit the store for all the fun products I've used today.

Have you ever found a pattern paper you love but didn't want to do anything to distract from its beauty?  Well I love the Cottage Life collection from 49 and Market.  I wanted to keep the Bicycle Alley paper intact, so I cut it to fit my card.  After matting it with brown cardstock I placed in on a panel of Provence.  Love how it easily coordinated with the bicycle panel.  Now, the only thing that could make the card better would be to add someone in the doorway.

I stamped Celine, from Carabelle Studios, colored her with Copic Markers, and then fussy cut her.  She was the perfect size to fit in the doorway, looking stunning as she gets ready for her bike ride.  A sentiment from Art Impressions' Watercolor Sentiments was stamped across the top of the card.

My next card uses a selection of elements cut from Prima Marketing's Rossi Belle collection.  I organized them on a panel of brown cardstock.

I used Nuvo Crystal Drops in the corners of the card.  To finish, I stamped the phrases from Stamping Bella's Molly Makes a Detour stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by.

Birthday Dragon

Hi it's Jennifer here with this very Adorable Dragon. He isn't quiet as
vibrant as he looks. I do find Purple a hard colour to photograph.
I have created a little scene inside the shaker using the LF mountains die.
I used Lawn Fawn Inks Freshly Cut Grass and Noble Fir to colour
the mountains.  I used the stitched rectangle on an angle to add
some interest with the stitched frame raised using 3D Tape. I then
just layered the green and purple Bazzil.

Copics I used
Purple - V12, V15, V17
Greens - YG17, YG21, YG23
Bird - B21, B24, E40, E42
I then usen the colourless blender and left big dots all over him
to create scales.

Wild Rose Studio Clear Stamp - Dragon & Bird
Lawn Fawn - Stitched Mountain Border Lawn Cuts (LF-1201)

Lawn Fawn - Stitched Rectangle Frames Lawn Cuts
Lawn Fawn - Small Stitched 4 Bar Rectangles Lawn Cuts (LF-1027)

Cousins celebrate a Birthday together

Hi... Bev here today. I am sharing a layout with my eldest and the youngest Grand Daughter together celebrating a birthday .... so nice to see them together enjoying each others company.
To start this page I used the Sketches in Thyme challenge sketch for Aug 1st (see below) and the amazing Blue Fern Studios Amber and Apricot Paper Collection, 49 and Market Vintage Shades Potpourri Snow flowers and Venice lace are from The Rubber Buggy. The chipboard accnets are from Creative Embellishments. When it was done I added the ink roller stitches.

In the close ups you can see more details in the paper and accents. The upper corner has a cut in slit to follow line in sketch. The paper layers with chipboard accent are perfect.

This section hosts clustered flowers, lace and lots of chipboards.

More fun pieces of chipboards.

Here is the central section with the matted photo and the great chipboard title.
This collection is rich and elegant all at the same time. The layers of rich colour, great images and mix of soft colours along with bold darks give amazing depth and dimension.
Along with the visible products I love using Tim Holtz inksBeacon 3-in-1 glue and Scrapbook Adhesive 3D Foam Tape.

Thanks for stopping by. Be sure to visit the STORE these and so many other amazing products. The Rubber Buggy carries so many amazing lines that are not available at all stores.
