Heartfelt Creations Pampered Pooch Birthday Card

I had a lot of fun making this birthday card for my brother-in-law.  He loves dogs so I used the Heartfelt Creations Pampered Pooch collection from The Rubber Buggy on-line store:

Heartfelt Creations Pampered Pooch 12 x 12 paper
Heartfelt Creations Pampered Pooch Pals die set
Heartfelt Creations Pampered Pooch Pals stamp set
Heartfelt Creations Pampered Pooch Paw-fect Pooches die set
Heartfelt Creations Pampered Pooch Paw-fect Pooches stamp set
NUVO Crystal Drops Ivory Seashell
Scrapbook Adhesive 3D Foam Tape
Scor-Pal Scor-Tape 1/2"

Other supplies:  Ghost line Poster Paper

Instructions:

Select the papers as shown below in the Heartfelt Creations Pampered Pooch 12 x 12 paper collection.  The front of the card and inside of card of paper selected below measured 6" x 6".

Also, cut the dog with the cake shown below 3 1/2" x 4 1/2".   Using a heavy weight white poster paper or heavy weight card stock, cut 6" x 12".

Front of Card

Instructions for Front of Card:

Outside blue frame square measures 6 1/2" x 6 1/2.  Glue the Heartfelt Creation Pampered pooch image on the blue frame.  Using the Heartfelt Creations Pampered Pooch Paw-fect Pooches stamp set, stamp the large bone.  Using the same die set, stamp Happy Birthday in the center of the bone.  I used Ranger Antique ink and sponged around the bone.  Cut the bone using the large bone die from the Heartfelt Creations Pampered Pooch Paw-fect Pooches die set.

Using the Heartfelt Creations Pampered Pooch Pals stamp set, stamp and collar.  I applied embossing ink on the buckle of the collar and then embossed it with copper embossing powder.  Put the collar end through the first hole of the buckle and glue it.  Stamp on the collar the beautiful sentiment "Life is Better With You In It" found in the Heartfelt Creations Pampered Pooch Paw-fect Pooches stamp set.    Cut a three inch Scrapbook Adhesive 3D Foam Tape nad tape the collar on the card.  I made these flowers using an old McGill flower punch and I applied the gorgeous NUVO Crystal Drops Ivory Seashell in the center of some of the flowers.

Inside of Card

The measurement of the picture of the dog is 3 1/2" x 4 1/2" and the brown frame around the picture is 3 3/4" x 5".  The paper (see photo above) from the Heartfelt Creations Pampered Pooch is 6" x 6".   I used an old stamp set for the sentiment.

Inside of card

I cut the dogs out using the  Heartfelt Creations Pampered Pooch Pals die set and used a molding tool on the back of the dogs to give it a 3D dimension and glued the edges of the dogs onto the front of this picture.

Perfect backgrounds with Gel Press

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today wishing you a happy day.

Have you tried using the Gel Press Monoprinting plates?  Gel Press plates come in a variety of sizes and allow you to create amazing designs.

Using the Gel plate and one stencil, I was able to create 2 different backgrounds for these cards.

I began by adding paint to the 6" x 6" plate.  Using the Gel Press Economy Brayer, I spread the paint across the plate.  Then I placed a Prima Netting stencil in the wet paint.  Placing white cardstock on top and using a clean brayer, I pulled this amazing print.

After cutting it to fit, I matted it with Bazzill Peanut Cluster Cardstock then adhered May Arts ribbon around the panel before adding it to the card.

The Memory Box Butterfly was die cut twice for dimension.  Hang in there is from Heartfelt Creations You're a Hoot stamp set finished off the card and was die cut with Spellbinders dies.

Since I still had paint on my Gel plate, I placed another piece of cardstock on top and again used the brayer to remove the remaining paint.

I cut the panel to 5" x 5", then placed it onto a card created from Bazzill Peanut Cluster Cardstock.

The owls from Heartfelt Creation's Sugar Hollow You're a Hoot stamp set were stamped with Memento Ink on a large tag.  A little color was added with Copic Markers.

Thinking of you is from Stamping Bella's Winnie Peeking out the Window.  Scrapbook Adhesives 3D squares were used to add dimension on the card.

I hope I've inspired you to try a Gel plate today.

Dragon Flying

Hi it's Jennifer here with my card for the week and I
have used this great stamp from
I have Inked the background using Distress Ink Pads
Twisted Citron, Mustard Seed and Broken China. I have then
Sprayed it with Perfect Pearls to give it a nice shine.
I then made a mix of assorted sequins to match and turned
it into a Shaker Card.
The Dies I used were from Lawn Fawn Stitched Circle Frames
and Small Stitched Circles the 3rd smallest.

I have stamped the butterflies out and placed them all over
the card and a few sequins for sparkle. I did use Wink of Stella Clear
on the Butterflies to glitter them up.
I used the same dies on the inside and a sentiment from
Copic Colours used
BG000, BG01, BG02, BG05, BG07
Y11, Y15, YG11, YG13

All these products and more are avaliable at the

Stunning cards using Heartfelt Creations Products

Hi.. OMG it's already past mid way through February. Where does the time go? Today I am sharing at The Rubber Buggy where I get such fabulous, rich and elegant paper selections.
I am excited to share a few cards to day all made using the same Heartfelt Creations All Glammed Up Collection.... but I still had so many options with design, layers and accents. I also used some the Sentiment stamps to my cards.... Heartfelt Sentiments and Heartfelt Wishes.
The flowers are die cut using Heartfelt Creations Delightful Daisy die, shaped and layered.
The one above is many layers cut from the papers....some foam dotted to pop them up while others are flat. This card has added beads, pearls, ribbon and flair button.

For each card I will share a close up side angle shot to detail the amazing 3D shaped and sculpted flowers made using paper, the Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit and adding some accents to finish off each card.

This card using more fabulous prints and some journal/ tag pieces cut from the different pages in the collection. The stamp type image pieces are showcased on this card along with the sentiment. Homemade flowers and for accents their are some beads, pearls and ribbon.

From this side view you can see that a few things are pop dotted to add layers and the flowers are 3D and beautiful.

This card showcases some of the fun and beautiful ticket accents and a great frame which has more fabulous flowers clustered.

This card is accented with beads and tied ribbon. Also lots of great layers and 3D flowers.

Thanks for joining me today.... I enjoyed making all these cards to share with you. The more you make the easier they become.

Heard You Are Having a Ruff Time

Welcome back to my blog site, Nancy Hill, design team for The Rubber Buggy on-line store.  I have a friend that has been sick with this cold that has been going around and I made her this card using the following supplies from The Rubber Buggy on-line store:

Would have loved to have the Heartfelt Creations Delightful Daisy die and stamp set for this card to coordinate with the paper but used older punches and a die set at this time.

Instructions for front of card:  Cut out the frame with the picture of the dog and bone (Lower right corner) and it should almost measure  a 5 1/2" square.
Since I am making a 6 x 6 card, I love using this Ghostline Poster Board that you can buy almost any where that they sell poster board.  It is heavier weight and I use this for my main foundation of each of my cards since it holds up very well and won't warp.  Cut a 6" x 12" of this poster board and score 6" in the center. Fold the poster board and center the Heartfelt Creation picture of the dog with the bone onto the poster board and glue it.

Using the Heartfelt Creations Pampered Pooch Pal die set, cut out the dog in the first column, second row. Using a molding ball for flowers, I used a medium size molding ball for the back of this dog to give it a 3D shape and make it stand out.  Glue only the edges of the dog and stick it to the top of the dog with the bone.

Using the Heartfelt Creations Pampered Pooch Pal die and Heartfelt Creations Pampered Pooch Stamp set, stamp and cut out the collar.  I used the black ink pad and rubbed it on the edges of the collar to cover up card stock edges and give it some dimension appearance.  I used the Scrapbook Adhesive 3D Foam Tape on the back of the collar and peel the strip off and stuck it to the card.

Inside the Heartfelt Creations Pampered Pooch paper are beautiful tags, labels and sentiments.  With scissors, I cut out the Friend label and glued it on the collar.

This is the inside of the card and you can find this picture in the Heartfelt Creations Pampered Pooch paper along with Best Friend and the blue paper.  Cut the blue paper 6" x 6" using the Heartfelt Creations Pampered Pooch paper and cut the paw prints with the Heartfelt Creations Pooch Pal die set.
The brown paper is  4 1/4" x 5" and the measurement of the picture of the dogs is 3 3/4" x 4 3/4".  The sentiment "Best Friend" is in the Heartfelt Creations Pampered Pooch paper and I cut this 3/4" x 2".
I made this flowers with another die but would have preferred the Heartfelt Creations Delightful Daisy die and stamp set.  What I wanted to show you were these beautiful beaded yellow pearls made with the NUVO Crystal Drops-Gloss-Dandelion.
I just love how easy the NUVO Crystal Drops are about making gorgeous flat-back pearls in the center of my flowers or on the cards.  The NUVO Crystal Drops come in many colors and textures.

Sweet Double Sided Gift Bags

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today with some cute gift bags.

Double sided pattern papers such as those from Maja Designs are perfect for these gift bags because the papers are sturdy and will hold up to scoring, cutting and folding.

Step 1
Cut pattern paper 8" x 12".
Place the long edge along the Scor-Pal, score at  5", 6", 7".
This creates the base of the bag.

Step 2
Rotate and score at 1" and 7" creating the sides of the bag.
Cut in 1" along the scored lines at the bottom and remove this piece on both sides.
Accordian fold along the scored lines for the base.

Step 3
Fold along the 1" and 7" scored lines

Step 4
Place Scor-Tape along the sides and assemble the bag.

Step 5
Create a tag from the left over pattern paper.
Add a stamped sentiment on top and tie to the handles with May Arts Sheer White Ribbon.  I used Stamping Bella's Paulie has a Prezzie.

This paper is from the Vintage Baby collection.

Next, I've created a more rounded bag.

To create the more rounded bag, follow steps 1 and 2.

Step 3
Add Scor-Tape along the edges of the sides.
Gently roll the paper to align the sides creating the rounded effect

Step 4
Create a tag from the left over pattern paper.
Add a stamped sentiment on top and tie to the handles with May Arts Sheer white Ribbon.

This paper is from Maja Design's Summer Crush collection - Meet her at the dance.
