A Gnome's Life
Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today with lots of fun products from the store. Please visit the store for all the fun products I've used today.
Lawn Fawn stamps have been designed so you can create scenes and you are only limited by your imagination.
I had recently created some fun papers using the Gel Press Monoprinting Plate, stencils and assorted colors of Prima Marketing Finnabair Art Alchemy Acrylic Paints and I decided to use one of the prints to create the background of my first card.

I had recently created some fun papers using the Gel Press Monoprinting Plate, stencils and assorted colors of Prima Marketing Finnabair Art Alchemy Acrylic Paints and I decided to use one of the prints to create the background of my first card.
Starting with a 4" x 5 1/2" card, I cut Bazill Black cardstock and then the Gel print to fit.
Using both the Large Stitched Circle Dies and the Small Stitched Circle Dies, I cut black, blue and green cardstock. On the blue circle I stamped the Starry Backdrop, then tore the green circle to create the grass.
The Oh Gnome stamp set and the coordinating Oh Gnome Lawn Cuts contains an assortment of gnomes, flowers, toadstools and phrases. Selecting the ones I wanted, I stamped them with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, then die cut and colored each with Copic Markers, adding them to the circle.
One of the phrases was stamped on a scrap of the gel print and added across the card.
For my next card I created a card from Bazzill Gumball cardstock, using the Large Stitched Circle Dies and the Small Stitched Circle Dies to cut the center of the card and create a border around it.
Inside I cut Lawn Fawn Stitched Mountain Dies from Bazzill Peanut Cluster and tore a strip of Bazzill Gumdrop for the grass. Then I added the stamped elements, slipping Happy Birthday behind the mountains.
Finally, I placed several images on the front of the card.

Mixed Media Masculine Cards
Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today with lots of fun products from the store. Please visit the store for all the fun products I've used today.
I chose an olive green cardstock for this card as it picked up the more muted colors in the background. I also used a stencil with molding paste to add some definition. A scrap of burlap added to the masculine feel.
I also used Tim Holtz Ideaology Mini Gears on both cards, adding a touch of color with Prima Marketing Art Alchemy Metallique Wax to add a bit of color.
I chose to add dark green cardstock to this card as it picked up on the green highlights in the paper. A larger panel of burlap helped set the masculine tone before adding the gears. I created a tag made from another sheet of gel press paper, matted it with cardstock and slipped it behind the burlap.

Masculine cards can at times be difficult to create, but with the right tools, you can create an assortment of masculine cards. For these cards, I started with the Gel Press to create assorted backgrounds.
And while you have the Gel Press out, make a bunch of papers that can be used for future projects. This saves a lot of time, plus it's so much fun to look at the papers you have already created and figure out how you want to work with them!
When creating masculine cards, use burlap (rather than ribbon), gears (rather than flowers) and more subtle/grungy colors like browns, blues, greens. While I have do yellow and red in my backgrounds, you can see with the additional embellishments that they are more masculine.
Cut the background papers to size and mat with cardstock that enhances the paper you created.

Sparkle, it's Your Birthday
Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today with lots of fun products from the store. Please visit the store for all the fun products I've used today.
Use a Gel Press Monoprinting Plate with assorted colors of Prima Marketing Art Alchemy paints to create background. Using a Gel Press Brayer, spread the colors on the plate.
Die cut the panel with Lawn Fawn Outside In Stitched Scalloped Rectangle Stackable dies and place the panel on a Bazzill Cotton Candy Cardstock panel and mount to card created with Bazzill Wax Lips Cardstock.

Stamp several packages from Stamping Bella - Ava Loves to Celebrate and color with Copic Makers. Fussy Cut and add to edge of card.

Creating Backgrounds with Gel Press
Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today working with a bunch of products from the Rubber Buggy Store. Have you checked out the store lately? It has so many wonderful new products.
Next, I placed a Tim Holtz Stencil on top of the plate and placed a sheet of paper on top and pulled a print. This process is addicting so I continued pulling prints using a variety of stencils from Prima Marketing and The Crafter's Workshop until I had no paint left on the plate. You can continue adding stencil upon stencil to get some fun effects.

Have you tried monoprinting yet? If not, you are in for a surprise. It's so much fun to create your own backgrounds using the Gel Press and assorted acrylic paints from Prima Marketing. The Gel Press comes in assorted sizes so you have lots of possibilities.
Once I placed paint on the Gel Press, I used a Gel Press Brayer to smooth the paint on the plate.
Once I had the backgrounds ready, I created cards and added stamped images/sentiments from Heartfelt Creations Coffee Talk stamp set.

Relaxation in Every sip
Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today working with a bunch of products from the Rubber Buggy Store. Have you checked out the store lately? It has so many wonderful new products.
Using a Gel Press, I placed dabs of Ranger Distress Paints in Rusty Hinge, Tea Dye and Frayed burlap on it. Using a Ranger Inky Roller Brayer I blended the paint on the Gel Press.
I placed cardstock on top and pulled a print. Since there was paint still on the plate, I pulled another print to be used for another project. Next, I used one of the prints for the background and placed the Memory Box Distress Grid Stencil on top. For a touch of color, I inked over the stencil with Ranger Distress Ink in Broken China.
I die cut ovals and used the Memory Box Drip Rings Stencil on the white layer. Then I stamped the coffee cups from the Heartfelt Creations Coffee Talk stamp set. I colored the cups with Ranger Distress Markers, then fussy cut them and added them to the oval with foam adhesives.
The phrase was also die cut and added slightly under the cups.

On Your Big Day......
Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today working with a bunch of products from the Rubber Buggy Store.
Using a Gel Press, I placed dabs of Ranger Distress Paints in Rusty Hinge, Tea Dye and Frayed burlap on it. Using a Ranger Inky Roller Brayer I blended the paint on the Gel Press.
I placed cardstock on top and pulled a print. Since there was paint still on the plate, I pulled another print to be used for another project. Next, I used one of the prints with a Crafter's Companion Embossing Folder - Antique Keys to create a background. I lightly ink over the keys with Ranger Distress Ink in Mermaid Lagoon.
I matted the panel with cardstock which I also inked with Ranger Distress Ink in Mermaid Lagoon. Then I wrapped the panel with May Arts Ribbon.

Perfect backgrounds with Gel Press
Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today wishing you a happy day.
Have you tried using the Gel Press Monoprinting plates? Gel Press plates come in a variety of sizes and allow you to create amazing designs.
Using the Gel plate and one stencil, I was able to create 2 different backgrounds for these cards.
I began by adding paint to the 6" x 6" plate. Using the Gel Press Economy Brayer, I spread the paint across the plate. Then I placed a Prima Netting stencil in the wet paint. Placing white cardstock on top and using a clean brayer, I pulled this amazing print.
After cutting it to fit, I matted it with Bazzill Peanut Cluster Cardstock then adhered May Arts ribbon around the panel before adding it to the card.
I cut the panel to 5" x 5", then placed it onto a card created from Bazzill Peanut Cluster Cardstock.
The owls from Heartfelt Creation's Sugar Hollow You're a Hoot stamp set were stamped with Memento Ink on a large tag. A little color was added with Copic Markers.
Thinking of you is from Stamping Bella's Winnie Peeking out the Window. Scrapbook Adhesives 3D squares were used to add dimension on the card.
