Fall Themed Friendship Card

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today with lots of fun products from the store.

Creating a slimline card from Bazzill Juicy Pear Cardstock, I cut a panel from Dress My Crafts to create my card.

For the top layer, I used the Tutti Designs Slimline Fence Die for a different effect.  The die allows the underlying layer to show.

The image was stamped and colored with Copic Markers, then die cut using a Tutti Designs Oval die.  The image was then matted with brown cardstock, then added to the card with 3D Foam Adhesives for dimension.  Fussy cutting leaves from the pattern paper, they were placed around the image.

The sentiment, from a Penny Black stamp, was stamped with Lawn Fawn Black Licorice Ink

Neighborhood Heart Frame Cards

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here to share some sweet cards using the Memory Box Neighborhood Heart Frame as the focal point of my cards.

I die cut the pieces from Bazzill Lollipop Cardstock and Candy Bar Cardstock.  Then I matted them on papers from Dress My Crafts' Whispering Love collection.

Next, I matted the panels with Bazzill Licorice Twist and Candy Bar cardstock and placed them atop layers from the Lemoncraft Delicious paper pad.  I also created cards from the same cardstock. .

Inside the cards I adhered some additional Lemoncraft papers.  In the corners I added coordinating die cut ovals onto which I  stamped a phrase from a Penny Black stamp set using Lawn Fawn Black Licorice Ink.

Bird Cage Slimline Cards

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today with lots of fun products from the store.  Please visit the store for all the fun products I've used today.

I started by adhering Lawn Fawn Knock on Wood papers to Sizzix Mat Board, then running it through my Big Shot with Tim Holtz Alterations Cage Bird Die by Sizzix.

Since I die cut 3 sets, I moved the birds around till I liked how they looked on the cages.  I then glued them to the cages using Art Institute Glue.

I inked the cages with Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink in Ground Espresso using a Ranger Ink Blending Tool.  Add some twine  to the bird cages.

Using Penny Black Stamps - Special Thoughts - I chose the phrases I wanted to use, inked them with Lawn Fawn Black Licorice ink and stamped them on scraps of the same papers.

Creating cards from Bazzill cardstock, I used a Scor-Pal Scoring Board to create the creases in the cardstock, so the cards folded easily.  Then I assembled the cards, mixing the layers.  Using Mat Board elevates the bird cages to a 3 dimensional look on your cards.

This card could be sent to someone who is not feeling quite well.

This card could be sent to someone you are missing.

This card could be sent to someone to cheer them up.

There are lots of possibilities when you mix and match your stamps, dies and papers.

Happy Fall with Penny Black's Gathering Stamp

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today with lots of fun products from the store.  Please visit the store for all the fun products I've used today.

As we head into our next season, I want to wish everyone Happy Fall.

I stamped the Gathering Stamp from Penny Black with Lawn Fawn Licorice Black Ink.  Next, I colored her with Copic Markers.  In order to die cut the image, I first cut around the basket, fitting the Lawn Fawn Small Stitched Rectangle Die so the basket would remain intact.

While still in the die, I lightly inked around the image with Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink in Faded Jeans using a Ranger Ink Blending Tool.

The card was created using Bazzill cardstock and the new Photo Play Gnome for Thanksgiving 6x6 paper pad.  This double sided paper pad has 24 papers with 2 of each design.  This leaves you lots of options to work with.  The wordy paper was matted with cardstock then wrapped with May Arts Sheer Ribbon before being added to the card on a slight angle.

The image was edged with Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink in Bundled Sage,  matted with a Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Rectangle Die, then placed on the card with Scrapbook Adhesives.

Finally, I used the reverse side of the wordy paper to die cut Lawn Fawn's Happy Fall Line Border Die, placing it above the image with Tattered Lace Detail Glue, which is perfect for these smaller die cuts.

Window Cards with Art Impressions

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today with lots of fun products from the store.  Please visit the store for all the fun products I've used today.

I love window cards, don't you?  They can be used in a number of different ways.

Using the stamps included in the Art Impressions Window Deco Die, I stamped the curtains and valance with Lawn Fawn Soot Dye Ink on Bazzill Marshmallow Cardstock and another set on Mintay papers then die cut them.  I also die cut the shutters from Marshmallow cardstock, then inked with Ranger Distress Tea Dye Ink using a Ranger Ink Blending Tool.

I cut a piece of Maja Design - Summer Crush Flirty pattern paper to fit my card, then using the Art Impressions Window Die, I cut through both layers.

I used the white curtains and valance, placing them on the card around the window with Scrapbook Adhesives 3D Foam Adhesives for dimension.

Using Lawn Fawn Soot Ink, I inked a Penny Black stamp and stamped the phrase directly on the card front.

My 2nd card uses the shutters which had been die cut from a square of Marshmallow cardstock.  It was then matted on a scrap of Flirty pattern paper so it peeks out of the shutters.  It was then matted on Bazzill Lollipop Cardstock.  Another Penny Black stamp was stamped directly on the card.

Rose Birthday Card

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today with lots of fun products from the store.  Please visit the store for all the fun products I've used today.

Using Prima Watercolor Paper, spritz it with water and sprinkle Lindy's Stamp Gang Magicals  in Urban Amethyst on the paper.  Add more water as necessary until the paper is covered.
Once dry, die cut to fit a card created from Pion Design - Purple V.  Next, use Bazzill Licorice Twist cardstock with Tutti Designs Background die.

Nuvo Crystal Drops in Sweet Lilac was used to add additional color to the roses.  Using a Tutti Designs Stitched Oval die, I die cut Bazzill Marshmallow cardstock.  A birthday stamp from Penny Black  Transparent stamp set, was stamped on the oval using Lawn Fawn Soot ink.  Inking the edges with Lawn Fawn Fresh Lavender ink, I then placed it in the center of the card using Glue Dots Mini Dots for a little dimension.

What do you think?

You Brighten My Day

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today with lots of fun products from the store.  Please visit the store for all the fun products I've used today.

To create the background for this card, I used Rhubarb Crumble Nuvo Crystal Drops.  I must confess that my bottle exploded and I had a huge blob of Nuvo Drops on my craft table.  Rather than throw  it away, I picked up a paint brush, added a little water and used the Nuvo Drops like paint.

I found the blob went quite far, so I kept painting assorted scraps of paper until all the Nuvo Drops were used.  Now I have a nice collection of papers for upcoming projects.

Using the die cut oval panel, I placed it atop a panel of Bazzill Taffy cardstock.  I also added a scalloped border around the die cut center.  Selecting one of the rose stamps from Penny Black, I colored it with Copic Markers, then fussy cut it.  The rose was placed off center with Scrapbook Adhesives 3D Foam Squares.

A sentiment from Art Impressions' Watercolor Stamp Set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink then matted with a scrap of the painted cardstock and placed on the card with Scrapbook Adhesives 3D Foam Squares.

Next time you find yourself with a crafting "issue", think of ways you can use it to your advantage!

Dear Friend Roses

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today with lots of fun products from the store.  Please visit the store for all the fun products I've used today.

I used Lawn Fawn dies to create the background for my roses.  The panel was die cut with the Stitched Rectangle die, then the Quilted Background die created the background.

The card was assembled with layers of cardstock.  I love the layer peaking out from the Quilted Background.

Using one of the rose stamps from Penny Black, I colored it with Copic Markers, then fussy cut it.  The rose was placed atop a die cut oval with Scrapbook Adhesives 3D Foam Squares.

Rhubarb Crumble Nuvo Crystal Drops were added to the roses.  A sentiment from Art Impressions' Watercolor Stamp Set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink then placed on the card.
