Valentine Shaker Cards

Hello friends!  Today I'm sharing a Valentine Shaker card set. This will be my last post for the Rubber Buggy Team.  I took on a little side job working with seniors in a retirement home.  I will be teaching them card making and paper crafting. I did this job once before and really enjoyed it.  Our neighborhood has a retirement home and it's 2 blocks from me so not too far.  It's very rewarding and I get to hear some great memories from these amazing people.

When I found this perfect Echo Park Cupid and Co. Collection kit at Rubber Buggy  I knew I would be using it to make my valentines.   In the collection there are a couple of sheets of cut outs and I used these for the center of the cards.  This collection also has a Coordinating Card stock to go with it.

Echo Park Paper - Cupid & Co. - 12 x 12 Designer Solids.  I used the sticker sheet for the sentiment and simply added a bow from my stash as well as the shaker mix inside the window panel.

Thanks for stopping by today and hope you will give this project a try. The paper is gorgeous and so bright and cheery!

Lawn Fawn Valentine Bear Card

Welcome back and Nancy, here.  I am excited to share with you my Valentines card made with the new arrival of the Lawn Fawn Scalloped Slimline With Hearts-Landscape die set with the Lawn Fawn Let It Shine Paper.  The Lawn Fawn Scalloped Slimline With Hearts is also available in the Portrait version.  This set is great for creating slimline cards with a stitched scalloped border. The rectangular die with heart openings is great for making a shaker cards as well!

My card measure 3 1/2" x 9" using the other side of the Lawn Fawn Let It Shine red paper which is the red and white stripe cardstock.  The Lawn Fawn Scalloped Heart die set solid scallop background measures 3" x 8"  and the center stitched heart die set  measures 2 1/2" x 7 1/2".  I added the NUVO Clear Gloss to the hearts and let dry over night.  I cut out the Lawn Fawn Be My Valentine border die with gold metallic cardstock and used Beacon 3-in-1 Advanced Glue for adhere my card.  I added the Baker Pink twine on the side of the card.

I am loving the new Lawn Fawn Let It Shine Paper pad this year for my Christmas and Valentine cards. I love the shining speckles of foil snowfalls in the polka dots side of the paper in each of the colors.  I used the red cardstock in this paper collection for this card.

Lawn Fawn Snow Much Fun stamp set was used for this card.  Pair the Lawn Fawn Snow Much Fun fun with Lawn Fawn Den Stamp set to add more bears to your scene!  I used Copic Markers to color the bears.  I stamped and cut out the one bear and then used scissors around his arm to fit him inside the heart.

Valentine's Day Surprise

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today with lots of fun products from the store.  Please visit the store for all the fun products I've used today.

The Authentique Romance 6 x 6 Paper Pad is perfect for your Valentine's Day creations and I've created a card with a matching wrapped gift.

Cut Bazzill Licorice Twist Cardstock to fit the card front.  Selecting paper from the Romance collection, cut to fit and adhere to the cardstock.

Tear another paper, mat with torn cardstock and adhere to the left side of the card.

Die cut black cardstock with a  Lawn Fawn Small Stitched Rectangle Die.

Stamp a Julie Nutting doll on white cardstock and color her with Copic Markers.  Fussy cut around her shoes and use the Lawn Fawn dies to die cut her, placing the die under her shoes so they remain intact.  Adhere her to the larger die cut panel.   Stamp Happy Valentine's Day, mat with black cardstock, then add across her legs.

Cut the phrase from the pattern paper, mat with black cardstock and add across the card.  Finish by adding Nuvo Drops to the little heart on her dress and along the hem of her dress.

Using the same papers, I created a candy bar wrapper.  Using a Tutti Designs Stitched Oval die, I die cut white and black cardstock and used same sentiment that was on the card.

Who wouldn't enjoy opening this little treat?

I stamped a sentiment in the center.

Lawn Fawn Snow Much Fun Valentine's Card

The Lawn Fawn Snow Much Fun stamp set is snow much fun! It’s perfect for creating cute snow-angel themed holiday cards especially for my Valentine's card.

Pair this set with Lawn Fawn Snow Much Fun die set and Lawn Fawn Waving Pull-Tab Starter die Set to create an interactive snow angel card!  Also, coordinate this adorable Lawn Fawn Snow Much Fun to Lawn Fawn Den Sweet Den to add more bears to your scene!

I am loving the new Lawn Fawn Let It Shine Paper pad for my Christmas and Valentine cards. I love the shining speckles of foil snowfalls in the polka dots side of the paper.  I used the mint cardstock in this paper collection for this card.

The card measures 4 3/4" x 6 3/4".
Inside white cardstock with bears measure 3 1/2" x 5 1/2" with solid mint 3 3/4" x 5 3/4"
Strip measures 4 1/4 x 6 1/4 with solid mint 4 5/8" x 6 5/8"

The Rubber Buggy also has many gorgeous colored embossing powders available. I embossed the snowflakes  using a mint pigment ink, sprinkled clear embossing powder and then used a embossing gun.  Another method is to use the stamp tool and stamp the snowflake with mint colored ink and restamp it again with embossing ink.  I added a snow flake die cut with the Lawn Fawn Let It Shine mink colored speckled paper with the Prima Marketing Melange Sugar Art Pebble to the center of the snowflake.

For the final touch, I added the NUVO White Blizzard glitter drops to the snow for that added touch of shimmer of snow.

The card was adhered with the Beacon 3-in-1 Advanced Glue

Have a fabulous crafting day and thanks for visiting.

Happy Valentine's Day

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today with lots of fun products from the store.  Please visit the store for all the fun products I've used today.

Using the Lawn Fawn Scalloped Slimline with Hearts, Portrait die, die cut red cardstock.  Save all the die cut pieces for another project.

Create a card from Lawn Fawn Woodgrain Cardstock - Dark Brown.  Cut Lawn Fawn Vanilla Malt Cardstock, place it behind the die cut panel then adhere the panel to the card.

Place the die cut letters inside each heart.

For the 2nd card, fold Lawn  Fawn cardstock   Place the scalloped frame on the cardstock, being sure to place the edge of the die off the fold.  Die cut another scalloped frame and adhere to the card completing the scalloped edge around the card.

Using the die cut hearts from the first card, adhere them to the card.  Since the letters have been die cut, the wood grain paper shows through the hearts.

To finish, place Liquid Pearls around each heart.

When I found this perfect Echo Park Cupid and Co. Be Mine Stamp Set to stamp the hearts and the lips.

Part 3 of my project is this gorgeous tag also made with the Echo Park Cupid and Co. Collection kit.
I also used some of these pretty Prima Marketing - With Love flowers - Sweet Sunshine to embellish the tag.  I also used some lace, ribbon and buttons from my stash.

Graphic 45 Valentine's Day Card

Nancy, here, and I’m so excited you’re here.  Today I am sharing a Z Fold card using a the Graphic 45 Fashion Forward February paper available in the Graphic 45 Fashion Forward paper pad or Graphic 45 Fashion Forward February cardstock.  I just love the greetings found in each month of this gorgeous collection of vintage fashionable ladies and the beautiful vivid colors of flowers for each month of the year.

Fancy-fold cards are always show-stopping cards that will be proudly displayed and a keeper and a Z fold card is an incredibly easy fancy fold card to create. The Z Fold Cards can be formed using just one sheet of plain colored cardstock with one patterned cardstock and a scoreboard with a bone tool and scissors. I have created this z-fold card tutorial so you can add this to your portfolio of cardmaking techniques and new creativity to try out.  Like all the best folds, these cards fold flat to fit into a standard sized envelope. What's not to love?!

Here are the measurements of all the pieces :

Black Cardstock

  • cut at 5 1/2″ x 11″  Score at 3 1/4" and 5 1/2"
  • cut at  1 1/4" x 11"
Graphic 45 Fashion Forward-February designer paper on Flower side
  • cut at 5 1/4″ x 5 1/4″
  • cut 2 1/3″ x  5 1/4″
  • cut at 3″ x 5 1/4″
Strips
  • Black Cardstock cut at 1 1/4" x 11
  • Graphic 45 Fashion Forward-February Designer paper cut each strip and glue together at 1 1/8" x 11" and glue to black cardstock strip
  • Score at 5 1/2" and 7 3/4"  I added the sentiment from the designer paper to each end of the strip and along the side of the image.

I cut out the different patterns and glued on black cardstock.  I took my scissors to cut out  a very small black frame since I wasn't sure if I could do this on my cutter with this thin frame.

I added lace behind my front image and used Nuvo Clear Glitter Glue around her dress as well as though out the card after the card was almost finalized and let dry. I added a handmade bow with a rhinestone heart and used Wild Orchid Craft flowers and a feather behind the pink seam binding bow and in the center of the bow.  I added the feather and then the Wild Orchid Craft flowers to the other side.

The gold hearts were made using the Graphic 45 Staples Folder & Sentiment heart dies and gold metallic cardstock.

The card was adhered with the Beacon 3-in-1 Advanced Glue

Have a fabulous crafting day and thanks for visiting.

Winter Magic with Stamperia

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today with lots of fun products from the store.  Please visit the store for all the fun products I've used today.

With the Winter season here, I've used Stamperia Decorative Chips - Magic  Winter Tales to showcase on my card.

Separating all the elements, I added color with markers and Ranger Liquid Pearls in Raspberry.

Once dry, I also used Nuvo Jewel Drops to create the look of snow on the snowflakes.

I created the card using Bazzill Lollipop CardstockBazzill Licorice Twist Cardstock which had been die cut with Lawn Fawn Stitched Windy Backdrop Die and Craft O'Clock's Hazy Street collection.  Several tags were cut from the paper collection and added to the card.  Winter Magic was then adhered to the tags.  The snowflake and poinsettia was added to 2 layers created from Bazzill Cardstock and Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Circle Dies.

Inside the card I added a panel of Bazzill Licorice Twist Cardstock and a panel from Hazy Street, both of which had been die cut with Lawn Fawn Large Stitched 4 Bar Rectangle Dies.   Happy Holidays is a Lawn Fawn Border Line Die which was die cut from Bazzill Licorice Twist Cardstock and adhered to the card with Art Institute Clear Adhesive.
