On Your Big Day......

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today working with a bunch of products from the Rubber Buggy Store.

Using a Gel Press, I placed dabs of Ranger Distress Paints in Rusty Hinge, Tea Dye and Frayed burlap on it.  Using a Ranger Inky Roller Brayer I blended the paint on the Gel Press.

I placed cardstock on top and pulled a print.  Since there was paint still on the plate, I pulled another print to be used for another project.  Next, I used one of the prints with a Crafter's Companion Embossing Folder - Antique Keys to create a background.  I lightly ink over the keys with Ranger Distress Ink in Mermaid Lagoon.

I matted the panel with cardstock which I also inked with Ranger Distress Ink in Mermaid Lagoon.  Then I wrapped the panel with May Arts Ribbon.

To create the card, I used Bazzill cardstock and scored to create a top folding card using Scor-Pal.  I placed the panel on top, then stamped my image and sentiment.

The image is from Stamping Bella and the sentiment is from Art Impressions.

Thank you for visiting.

Embossed Cards

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today with some embossed cards.

It is so much fun to create 2 different projects when using the same supplies.  I placed assorted acrylic paints from Prima Marketing on a craft mat and then dragged white cardstock through the paint.  This method provides some very different backgrounds for your cards.

I embossed the panels with a Crafter's Companion embossing folder, then lightly inked over the embossed portions with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.  The ink really highlighted the embossing.   I matted the panel with Bazzill Whirlypop cardstock, then wrapped May Arts ribbon around the panel and inserted a Tim Holtz Memo Pin in the knot. A sentiment from Stamping Bella - Lolly and her Brolly - was added.

I used the same Crafter's Companion embossing folder for my second card and also lightly inked over the embossed portions with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.   I matted the panel with Bazzill Whirlypop cardstock.  To create a vertical card, I wrapped May Arts ribbon vertically, then inserted a Tim Holtz Memo Pin  in the ribbon.  I used a sentiment from another Stamping Bella stamp set -  Abigail the Artist, adding it to a Tim Holtz memo Pin.

Why not try this technique?  It opens us so many possibilities.

Thank you for visiting.

Steph
