Slimline Distress Background

Welcome back to the Rubber Buggy blog 🥰 today I am sharing the girl everyone knows and loves Tilda.  TRB has a huge selection of this beautiful girl in the large and small size
I used The Crafters Workshop new Halftones stencil to make the background by using blending brushes from Spellbinders with distress inks😍

Then I used some decorative chipboard pieces from Scrapiniec to create a decorative piece to balance the image with and give it some umpfff.  We have started carrying more product from Spellbinders so be sure to check out all the new goodies in the TRB store.  They carry a lot of those hard to get items from foreign craft shops like P13, Mintay, Lexi Design and more so take a stroll through the shop Kelli is always stocking new stuff ❤️❤️ Especially if you are a shabby chic vintage sort of gal oooppp or dude 🤪

Happy Halloween with Magnolia WItch Tilda

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today with lots of fun products from the store.

Happy Halloween with Magnolia Witch Tilda with Pumpkin.  Isn't she a cutie?  I colored her with Copic Markers.

The card is created from Simple Stories Vintage Farmhouse paper pack and Tim Holtz Kraft Cardstock.  The contract of black and white against her red dress is amazing.  She was fussy cut and added upon Lawn Fawn Stitched Circle dies, using the Small and Large dies.  Cutting off the left side of the dies allowed Hello Friend from the Memory Box Bird Sanctuary stamp set to slip underneath.

Collect Beautiful Moments

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today with lots of fun products from the store.

This beautiful floral stamp is a Magnolia Stamp - Meadow Daisy - and is a perfect size for a card front.  I stamped it with Lawn Fawn Black Licorice Ink, then colored it with Copic Markers.  I used Ranger Distress  Ink in Speckled Egg to add color to the sky using Ranger Mini Domes Ink Blending Foams, and used Copic Markers to add the ground.  The image was die cut with Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle Dies, then matted on Lawn Fawn Kraft cardstock.

Collect Beautiful Moments is from Stampers Anonymous Tiny Text stamp set and it was also stamped with Lawn Fawn Black Licorice Ink directly on the card.

Using Ranger Ice Stickles in Twinkle, I added dimension to the Daisy petals.  Next, I added Ranger Liquid Pearls in Copper to the Daisy center.

What beautiful moments will you collect today?

Happy New Year Cards

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today with lots of fun products from the store.  Please visit the store for all the fun products I've used today.

Wishing you all a Happy New Year and a much better 2021!!!!

I used several Tutti Designs dies to create these mini cards.  I found the size of the Tutti Designs Stitched Scalloped Rectangle Dies, once die cut from Bazzill Licorice Twist Cardstock and scored in half created amazing mini cards  For the sencond layer I use Tutti Designs Stitched Rectangle Dies with papers from Dress My Crafts Whispering Love collection.  I just cut the die cut panels in half to create the 2nd layer.

The Magnolia Happy New Year stamp was perfect for these cards so I colored them with Copic Markers before fussy cutting them.

Using a Tutti Designs Stitched Nesting Oval, I added the next layer to the card.  They were also die cut from Bazzill Licorice Twist Cardstock because I wanted the ladies to stand out.

Each lady was placed atop an oval using Glue Dots for dimension.

Thee are cute mini cards, but they'd also be great used as tags hanging from a bottle of wine for hte New Year don't you think?

Merry Christmas Tilda

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today with lots of fun products from the store.  Please visit the store for all the fun products I've used today.

I stamped an assortment of images from the Lawn Fawn Ho Ho Holidays stamp set using Lawn Fawn Licorice Ink.

Next, I colored the image with Copic Markers, then die cut them with the coordinating Lawn Fawn dies.

A Magnolia stamp, Pointing Tilda, was stamped with Lawn Fawn Licorice Ink, then also colored with Copic Markers.  The panel was die cut with Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle dies and matted with Bazzill green cardstock, die cut with the next sized rectangle.

The background of the card is from Craft O'Clock Age of Technology collection.  The panel was added to the card with Glue Dots for dimension.  Merry Christmas, also from the Lawn Fawn Ho Ho Holiday stamp set, was stamped and added to the card.  And I thought I'd use just one reindeer from the set as Tilda appears to be pointing toward it.  I'm leaving the rest of he images for upcoming projects.

Thank you for being my Rainbow

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today with lots of fun products from the store.  Please visit the store for all the fun products I've used today.

Now that we've entered the cold, dreary days of fall, I wanted to share a bright, sunny card.

Don't you just love these Magnolia cuties?  I think Little Tilda is totally precious.  I wasn't sure what I was going to create with her till  after I colored her.

I colored her with Copic Markers, then set her atop a set of oval dies, which I die cut using Tutti Designs Stitched Oval Dies and Bazzill cardstock in Marshmallow and Whirlypop.  The phrase, also a Magnolia stamp, was stamped with black ink and matted with Whirlypop cardstock and slipped under her.

The ovals were added to a  panel of Bazzill Sour Lemon cardstock which was matted with Whirlypop cardstock.  Using assorted flowers from my stash (similar to these), I added them around the oval with Simple Stories brads.   Bazzill Candy Corn cardstock was cut to fit the card, then the panel was added on a slight angle with foam adhesives for dimension.

Once the card was completed, I used Nuvo Crystal Drops in Ivory Seashell to add crystal dots in two opposite corners.  I also added them atop the brads.  I also added drops to her dress and wings.  They dry as clear drops and add some nice dimension to your projects.

Watercolor Thank you cards

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today with lots of fun products from the store.  Please visit the store for all the fun products I've used today.

Have you tried the Prima Marketing Metallic Accents Semi-Watercolor  Paints yet?  These water activated paints are perfect for creating backgrounds or adding details to your creations.

Using Prima Marketing Watercolor Paper Pad, I created 2 different backgrounds by mixing the paints together.  I randomly chose the colors I wanted to use then painted the watercolor paper, creating 2 different designs.

Next, I used the Memory Box die - Tanglewood Frame to die cut Bazzill Buttermint cardstock and Bazzill Easter Grass cardstock.  Using Tattered Lace Detail Glue, I glued the die cut panels to the painted backgrounds.

The panels were then adhered to the card fronts.

Tilda with Butterfly Jeans  was stamped twice with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, then colored with Copic Markers.  One image was fussy cut and the other was die cut using a Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle die.

Thanks was die cut  from Lawn Fawn  Thanks Line Border Die and used as a shelf for the fussy cut image.  A second die was placed across the rectangle die cut image.

Finally, I added Nuvo Crystal Dots about the die cut panels.

Merry Christmas Candy Cane Cards

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today with lots of fun products from the store.  Please visit the store for all the fun products I've used today.

This wonderful candy cane stamp is Peppermint from Magnolia Stamps.  I stamped them on Lawn Fawn White Cardstock with Lawn Fawn Black Licorice Ink.  After coloring them with Copic Markers, I then fussy cut them.

Using  LemonCraft Christmas Carols 6" x 6" paper pad, I added a green checked panel to a card.  I die cut another pattern paper from this collection, adding it to the card.  Finally, I added a smaller die cut oval on which I placed the candy cane.

To finish, I added Nuvo Crystal Drops in Oyster Gray on the white areas for a little shimmer and shine.

Merry Christmas is a Lawn Fawn border die which fit perfect across the card.

I created another card using scraps from the same LemonCraft Christmas Carols 6" x 6" paper pad.  This time I placed the Merry Christmas  Lawn Fawn border die along the right edge.

Santa was inked with Lawn Fawn Walnut Ink and matted with Lawn Fawn Sticky Note Cardstock.   I added Nuvo Crystal Drops - Oyster Gray - along his hat, cuffs and jacket for a 3d effect.

A floral sheet from the LemonCraft Christmas Carols 6" x 6" paper pad was added to the card.  Another paper from this collection was die cut and added to the card.  Once Santa was dry, he was added to the card.

Decorated pillow box

Hi everyone!

Pi here with my first project for 2016 :)

A decorated pillowbox.
This was a late Christmas gift, but I thought I'd show it to you anyway, since it came out so cute - LOL!
And since it is redish pinkish, you could make it for Valentine. Just switch the snowflakes for hearts.

There is a pillow box die from Lawn Fawn in the store and I must admit, I've been eyeing it for a while now. There was also a punch board from WRMK, if you happend to get it before they ran out.
My point is, there are a lot of choices out on the market. But if you're like me, everytime I put it in my basket I end up switching it for something else, not yet quite ready for the investment.

But this occasion seemed to scream for a pillowbox, but I was lucky to find a great tutorial on how to make one without a die or a punchboard. You can see it HERE.

However, it took a couple of tries, but I eventually got it just right.
A couple of tips on the way, when you assemble the box, the width will become more narrow due to the depth. I didn't think of that in the beginning, but maybe I'm just not the sharpest :)
Also, the radious of whatever circle shape you're using not only decides the depth of the box, but also effects the length, so don't forget to check it twice.
It would absolutely be easier to just invest in a die.

Products used from The Rubber Buggy store:
Lawn Fawn petite paper pack, let's bokeh in the snow
White lace with white satin center trim
My favorite things die-namics Let it snowflakes
Ice stickles Silver ice
Flatback chrystals
