Lawn Fawn Cactus Birthday Card

Welcome back and Nancy, here, to share a fun birthday card for my grandson who requested a cactus card for his birthday from all of the adorable Lawn Fawn stamps in my collection.  Easy peasy birthday card that was stamped and fussy cut with the Lawn Fawn Year Ten stamp collection for the cactus and flowers and first colored with Copic markers.  The hills were cut out with the Lawn Fawn Slimline Stitched Hillside border and sponged on the Ranger Crackling Campfire and Ranger Wild Honey ink for the hillside and sky.  I sprayed on the Lindy's Stamp Gang Shimmer Spray-Victorian Bouquet using the purple spray for the sky and green bottle for the hillsides.

I cut out a sun from my Brother's Scan and Cut and stamped on the Lawn Fawn Reveal Wheel Circle Sentiments that also has the sun glasses with this stamp set.

So get crafting and have a fabulous  day and thanks for visiting.

Collect Beautiful Moments

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today with lots of fun products from the store.

This beautiful floral stamp is a Magnolia Stamp - Meadow Daisy - and is a perfect size for a card front.  I stamped it with Lawn Fawn Black Licorice Ink, then colored it with Copic Markers.  I used Ranger Distress  Ink in Speckled Egg to add color to the sky using Ranger Mini Domes Ink Blending Foams, and used Copic Markers to add the ground.  The image was die cut with Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle Dies, then matted on Lawn Fawn Kraft cardstock.

Collect Beautiful Moments is from Stampers Anonymous Tiny Text stamp set and it was also stamped with Lawn Fawn Black Licorice Ink directly on the card.

Using Ranger Ice Stickles in Twinkle, I added dimension to the Daisy petals.  Next, I added Ranger Liquid Pearls in Copper to the Daisy center.

What beautiful moments will you collect today?

Thank you for visiting.

Stamperia Cosmos with Prima Marketing Nocturnal Element mould

Welcome back and Nancy, here to share a fun card made with the gorgeous Stamperia Cosmos along with the Prima Marketing mould-Nocturnal Elements.  In the evening and looking up at the night sky in wonder with beauty of the moon and stars and the animals and birds looking for their prey, the Stamperia Cosmos with the Prima Marketing mould-Nocturnal Elements are gorgeous together.

I created a U-Tube on my techniques to creating the casting from the Prima Marketing Nocturnal Element mould.  I am starting to get the hand of this and wanted to share what I have found successful so far working with these moulds using an epoxy resin which is much easier than working with clays, etc. for me.

I used both a hot glue gun and Beacon 3-in-1 Advanced Glue. to adhere the casting on the card and prefer the glue.

This time I used the Prima Marketing Clear Gesso on the castings and let dry before sponging and brushing on the waxes on the moon and stars.

I added two Prima Marketing Finnabair Melange Art Pebble to additional accent to the card.  I am really loving the Prima Marketing waxes and especially the Prima Marketing Redesign Wax-Brass that was added to the stars along with the Prima Marketing new wax Old White and some of the older Prima Marketing metallic waxes.

Have a fabulous crafting day and thanks for visiting.

Celebrating You (twice)

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today thinking about you with Tutti Designs Dies.

Create 2 cards from Bazzill Rock Candy Cardstock.  Score in half using Scor-Pal.
Die cut the Tutti Orchestra Corner die four times.  Twice from  Bazzill Marshmallow Cardstock and twice from green cardstock.

I experimented by doing the cards differently to see which layering I liked best.
For the first one, I cut the green stems and adhered them to the white floral base.
For the second one, I cut the white flowers and adhered them to the green floral base.

Adhere each design to the corner of each card.  Because the designs are versatile you can arrange them in opposite corners to create 2 great cards.

Using a Tutti Oval Die, die cut white cardstock.  Stamp a phrase from a Penny Black stamp set using  Lawn Fawn Black Licorice Ink.

Which one do you prefer?

Prima Marketing Rusty Pipeline Mould Father's Day Card

Welcome back and Nancy, here. Father's Day is around the corner and there is still plenty of time to get your orders in from The Rubber Buggy to create a card like this one.

I am getting so excited working with moulds lately.  I use an epoxy resin which is easy to use and comes out of the Prima Marketing moulds so well.  The epoxy resin set comes in two bottles and I mix two tablespoons of each in a cut and stir for two minutes and then pour in the moulds and set for about 12 hours depending on the depth of the mould.  I bend the moulds and the casting pops almost out.  I gently pull the casting out of the mould.  I cover each casting with a gesso which I used in the video the Prima Marketing Clear Gesso.  I let dry and then brush or sponge on the Prima Marketing metallic waxes.  Note, wear gloves with this along with covering the table with plastic garbage bags or something you can throw away since the resin gets all over the place.  Also, I used a clay knife to get the resin back in the casting in the mould as much as possible.  When it dries, there will be a little left over resin around the casting which will be removed with you fingers, therefore, less resin around the casting can be prevented with using a clay knife after pouring to get as much resin that is on top back into the casting.  Also, pour slowly but I used my clay knife and scrap it in the cup and let it dripped into the casting so that the resin don't over flow.  In a few months of working with these moulds, I will probably have a better technique in pouring the resin in these moulds.

After the gesso dries, I covered all of the pipeline casting with the The Prima Marketing Re-Design Decor Wax Brass and then brushed a little Prima Marketing Firebird was on the pipes.

The video explains the techniques that I used with both the Prima Marketing Rusty Pipeline and Prima Marketing Nocturnal Element moulds.  I will be doing another blog next week using the Prima Marketing Nocturnal Element mould which you will definitely want for numerous projects since the star, face and moon coordinates well with many cards and projects.

I had an ole Tim Holtz embossing folder that I ran through my machine with black paper.  I used a sponge as well as a crafting makeup brush which is similar to Picket Fence Studio Blender Brushes to adhere the Prima Marketing The Prima Marketing Re-Design Decor Wax Brass  and Prima Marketing Firebird wax on the paper.  I accidentally left one brush dry with the wax and thought it was a throw away.  To my surprise, I used warm water and soap and the wax and glue washed out.

I used the Beacon 3-n-1 Advanced glue to adhere the pipes to the card and a hot glue gun to adhere the one metal gears to the card.  I typed out the sentiment and printed it out on cream paper and then covered it with Tim Holtz Distress Collage Medium Vintage but possible the Distress Vintage Photo ink could also be applied to get the same results.

So get crafting and have a fabulous  day and thanks for visiting.

Thinking of You with Lawn Fawn

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today thinking about you with Lawn Fawn dies.

Using the Lawn Fawn Scalloped Slimline with Hearts die, I die cut the heart panel from Bazzill Candy Hearts cardstock.

Creating a card from Bazzill Licorice Twist cardstock, I then die cut the scalloped layer to place on top.  I placed the die cut hearts aside to use on another project.

Next, I placed a sheet from Authentique's Romance Paper Pad behind the pink panel and assembled the card.

Stamping and fussy cutting the birds from Memory Box Bird Sanctuary stamp set, I colored  them with Copic Markers and placed them on the card with Glue Dots.  The phrase from the same stamp set was stamped with Lawn Fawn Black Licorice Ink directly in the center heart.

This is a fun card and as you can see, it is not just for Valentine's Day.

Stamperia Sweety Birthday Card

Welcome and hope you are having a wonderful weekend.  Super cold and snowy  where we live today.  Therefore, a crafty weekend indoors for me.  Nancy, here, to share a fun Stamperia Sweety paper with the Lawn Fawn Happy Birthday Pop up die and Scrapiniec Happy Birthday chipboard for a birthday card for my grand daughter.  Since the Lawn Fawn Happy Birthday Pop Up die is 5 1/2" long, my card measures 5 1/2" across on the score line.  The coral flower is from a older Prima Marketing flower set but there are so many Prima Marketing flower packages available at the Rubber Buggy to coordinate with this gorgeous paper pad which is one of my favorites of Stamperia.

Make sure to check out the new arrivals of chipboard especially from Scrapiniec and others for all of your crafting needs.

The Stamperia Sweety paper pad has the images that can be fussy cut or using your die cut machine.  Also, the Stamperia Sweety die cuts and chipboard are also available in this collection to just have fun embellishing your cards with these coordinating images with the paper.

So get crafting and have a fabulous  day and thanks for visiting.

Happy Mother's Day with Lawn Fawn

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman  here today wishing everyone a Happy Mother's Day this weekend.

This Lawn Fawn Center Picture Window Card Heart Add-on is really fun to create with and the card is not as difficult as you might think!

Start by creating a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card from Bazzill Icy Mint Cardstock.  Using the Scor-Pal, score at 5 1/2".  Cut Bazill Pale Rose Cardstock and layer on the card.

Cut a 2nd  pink panel 4 1/4" x 5 1/2".
Score at 1/2", 2 1/2", and 5".

Place the heart in the center, lining it up with the center score line.
Also die cut the included elements from different colors of cardstock.

Place Scor-Tape along the edges of the heart panel.

Adhere the heart panel to the card.
Be sure to align one side first and fold the card to be sure the other side fits before removing the tape.

Assemble the die cut elements on the heart and behind the heart.
Scatter a few leaves in the corners.

Adhere a smaller layer of blue cardstock to the card front.  Die cut 6 branches from Bazzill Candy Bar Cardstock and place them in the center creating a pinwheel effect.  Die cut a circle from Bazzill Marshmallow cardstock using a Lawn Fawn Stitched Circle Die and stamp Happy Mother's Day in the center.

Isn't this a sweet card?

Stamping Bella Odd Nurse cards

Welcome back and Nancy, here, to share some fun Get Well cards made with the adorable Stamping Bella Odd Nurse stamp set.  Isn't she adorable and fun to give to someone that needs a smile on their face to go through any concerns about their medical issues.  There is so many possibilities with this stamp set to embellish it to make it personal for you friend or family member to know that you are thinking about them.

I used Beacon 3-in-1 Advanced glue to adhere the layers and added 5mm flat back pearls to the top corner of the card.  For one card, I added a pink and white Baker twine and tied a bow to it.  I used the Stamperia Sweety cardstock for the striped pink and red frame.

So get crafting and have a fabulous  day and thanks for visiting.
