Watercolor firsts
1:00 AM
Hi everyone!
Pi here and I used watercolors, a first for me :)
Yes, yes I know. But it's as usual with me, I'm always the last to join a trend - LOL!
Another first for me, was not to use any black ink for the lines and I'm loving the look!
I got the inspiration from the sentiment "get well soon" from the scripty sayings and thought a cup of tea would go well together.
I really liked playing with watercolors, even though I didn't have as much control as with my copics.
However, I'm sure that the spectrum aqua pens will combine the two.
Products from the store:
Lawn Fawn scripty sayings
Lawn Fawn Love you a latte stamp set
Lawn Fawn Love you a latte coordinating dies
Stampings supplies (watercolor paper & brush, neenah paper kraft, doublesided tape, archival ink, memento ink)
Thank you for visiting!

Sweet "Love Story"
12:00 AM
Hi... it's Bev here today. I am excited to be using this fabulous
collection Blue Fern Studios "Love Story".
It's part of my DT products from The Rubber Buggy.
It's elegant, rich, vintage style and overall amazing paper.
I am working with lots of old family photos and it
was perfect for this paper line.
The background print is a great mix of coloured flowers and elegant designs.
Supply List:
The Rubber Buggy Products: Paper: Blue Fern Studios "Love Story"
Chipboard: Blue Fern Studios
Marker: Copics
Twine
Other: Signo white gel pen, metal key
I made this variegated butterfly using paper from the collection so it matched.
It is based on some pennant pieces.
The old photo is matted with some pieces to add some colour and texture.
On top of the photo is a copic coloured piece of chipboard with a title card "sweet"
and a metal key tied off with twine.
In this close up I doodled some stitch lines and wrote below the name and date.
Thanks for stopping by.. hope to see you again soon.

Dylusion Paints and Ink Sprays
4:33 PM
Good Afternoon Everyone!
As I was working away today with my Dylusion's Paint I remembered that I read somewhere about the cool and warm colors and why we should stick with one or the other when we are creating our project. So I went and searched up the information so that I could share it with you and also have a place for myself to come back to if I need to refresh my brain.
There are 12 colors in the paint collection right now and 24 in the Sprays.
Cool Colors Include:
Lemon Zest, Fresh Lime, Cut Grass, Dirty Martini, Polished Jade, Crushed Pesto, London Blue, Vibrant Turquoise, Calypso Teal and After Midnight.
Warm Colors Include:
Pure Sunshine, Squeezed Orange, Tangerine Dream, Postbox Red, Cherry Pie, Pomegranate Seed, Bubblegum Pink, Funky Fuchsia, Melted Chocolate and Ground Coffee.
Works in Both Color Groups: Crushed Grape.
Neutrals Include:
Black Marble, White Linen and Slate Grey. Mixing the white with another color will give you the pastel color.
We must keep in mind that many colors opposite to each other on the color wheel can easily make mud, like orange and blue or yellow and purple. This is why we divide our colors into cool and warm collections. Any of the the colors from its own color collection will blend together nicely.
My suggestion to you is to label your jars with cool or warm and then it will be easy to remember which group it belongs to and also remind you to only use that collection on your project.
But sometimes we all want to work outside of the rules and that is perfectly okay to that is why we call it ART.
Just thought I would share this information with all of you.
Kellie

Mini scrap album
1:00 AM
Hi everyone!
Pi here
I've been on the design team for The Rubber Buggy for a couple of years now and it's been a blast all the way!
However, that has also left me with a pile of scraps from all the card making - LOL!
So I thought I better dig into that and put them all together by doing a mini album. The trick I used was to have large photos, making all your scraps into embellishments, so I used a lot of dies :D
I also cut alot of banners and to tie it all togheter (haha) I used plain white twine. I stamped some of the dies. Those little faces from Lawn Fawn are just to cute.
Products used from the store:
Lawn Fawn Cole's ABC
Spellbinders nestabilities foliage (no longer availiable)
Memory Box Baby bottles
Memory Box Beautiful ballon
Memory Box Baby suit
Magnolia doo hickey tag (similar)
WRS Butterfly burst
Paper scraps from:
Prima seashore collection (no longer availiable)
Graphic 45 6x6 paper pads solids & patterns
Maja design skärgårdsliv
fabrictape is from Prima Marketing divine collection (no longer availiable)
I hope you liked it.
Thank you for visiting!
