 Hi!
So glad you found your way to The Rubber Buggy's blog.

This is my first post ever as part of a design team and I had a blast!
I'm Pi and I'm from Sweden, Gothenburg. Gothenburg is app 1h drive from Borås, where Magnolia is manufactured.  Yet I have never used any of their products?!

So imagine my excitement when my DT package arrived and I found this little qutie - LOL!
I know it's October and we have both Halloween and Thanksgiving to go, but I could not resist making a Christmas card.

I coloured my stamped image with alcohol pens and teamed the Magnolia paper with some more Swedes, lovely vintage brown from Maja Design. Her little sign is paper pieced as I coloured it with distress ink in burshed corduroy and edged with vintage photo. By accident I also had to paper piece her head, but it turned out great as her plaids got some dimension:)
I had super fun colouring all the details on this stamp and I tried a new colour combo on her hair.

Paper flowers pimped with lots of perfect pearls and fine glitter

Kellie sent me some wonderful paper flowers that I sprayed with perfect pearls, there are so much shimmer I need to learn how to take pictures that shows it properly.

A "bauble" and the lovely Magnolia chandelier garlands a bit frosted

For the Magnolia paper red ornaments I got the idea to make a Christmas bauble. I used the smallest round fragment charm from Tim Holtz and backed it with the paper. Then I dipped the top in distress crackle paint, rock candy and sprinkled some crystal glitter by Martha Stewart to make it look like frost. It worked and the crackles were really effective, unfortunately the crackle paint has a hard time staying on the fragment charm, but it turned out to be very fragile - just like ice:)

I also sprinkled some crystal glitter on the Magnolia chandelier garlands (that I don't think I now could live without!)  to "frost" them.

More ice:)

In my stash I also had some acrylic pointy charm that I turned into an icicle by dipping it in distress crackle paint and again sprinkle with glitter.

Products used on this card:
Magnolia Chandelier Garland - red (coming soon in the Rubber Buggy store)
Paper flowers - coming soon in the Rubber Buggy store

I had so much fun making this card and I hope left you with some inspiration. Tomorrow Steph have something gorgeous to show you, so be sure to stop by again and later next week you must also return for a super fun challenge.

Thank you for visiting
