Rubber Buggy project using Blue Fern Studio Timeless Collection

HI.. Bev here today at The Rubber Buggy I am excited to share with you this fabulous page created using Blue Fern Studios Timeless Collection and also the chipboards.

Supply List:
The Rubber Buggy Products:
Paper: Blue Fern Studios Timeless Collection
Chipboard: Blue Fern Studios Circle Vine
Inks: Tim Holtz ranger
Other: stencil, modeling paste, pen

When creating this page I used a 2nd sheet of paper to fussy cut the flowers to pop up off the background... what great depth this technique gives a page. I ink the edges to show the designs also.

This photo showcases all the background work. I fussy cut and popped sections, added hand cut journal tag with flowers and also stenciled using modeling paste for the rustic old touch... with more texturing in the background.

The very old vintage photo of my grandmother was custom cut to fit the perfect chipboard called Circle Vines by Blue Fern Studios. I used ink pods by Tim Holtz to mix and colour the chipboard but kept it soft as to not loose the photo.

This close up showcases all the fun details,.. added butterfly popped up and the fussy cut title.

Here is the upper left corner cluster which is inked for definition.

Behind the chipboard I added some darker pink from the backside of some paper from the collection to add more depth and more colour.

Water Colored Die Cuts with Netra

Hey everyone. Happy New Year !
I hope 2016 has started off wonderful for you all !
Here is a card I made to start off this month of sharing ways to use your dies.

I normally will die cut a die out of patterned paper. Or colored card stock.
But on this card I die cut some dies on white and them water colored them.
Nothing new to the crafting world...but not normal for me.

I also water colored Tilda with Channel the Puppy.
I hope you like my card.

Decorated pillow box

Hi everyone!

Pi here with my first project for 2016 :)

A decorated pillowbox.
This was a late Christmas gift, but I thought I'd show it to you anyway, since it came out so cute - LOL!
And since it is redish pinkish, you could make it for Valentine. Just switch the snowflakes for hearts.

There is a pillow box die from Lawn Fawn in the store and I must admit, I've been eyeing it for a while now. There was also a punch board from WRMK, if you happend to get it before they ran out.
My point is, there are a lot of choices out on the market. But if you're like me, everytime I put it in my basket I end up switching it for something else, not yet quite ready for the investment.

But this occasion seemed to scream for a pillowbox, but I was lucky to find a great tutorial on how to make one without a die or a punchboard. You can see it HERE.

However, it took a couple of tries, but I eventually got it just right.
A couple of tips on the way, when you assemble the box, the width will become more narrow due to the depth. I didn't think of that in the beginning, but maybe I'm just not the sharpest :)
Also, the radious of whatever circle shape you're using not only decides the depth of the box, but also effects the length, so don't forget to check it twice.
It would absolutely be easier to just invest in a die.

Free Spirit using Blue Fern Paisley & Vine Collection

HI.. Bev here today at The Rubber Buggy I am excited to share with you this fabulous page created using the Blue Fern Studios Collection Paisley & Vine along with some great chipboard accents.

Supply List:
The Rubber Bugger Products:
Paper: Blue Fern Studio Paisley & Vine
Chipboard: Blue Fern Studio Romantic Page Dangles, Arrow Words
Doily: Unique
Flowers: Wild Orchid 10mm Mulberry Roses
Ink: Tim Holtz ranger, Versa Magic
Stamps: Blue Fern Studios Texture set, 7 Dot Studio Nature Walk
Other: paint, Cardstock

Here is the video sharing my paint splatter technique with you

After doing the paint splatter I used stamps and versa mark ink pods to stamp some octagon designs on my background. Just be sure to use colours that are reflected with the background papers you have chosen to work with.. I added the purple as an accent colour and you'll notice in finished page how I added more of it in the chipboard colouring.

I also am using the Monday Sketch reveal from the Turtle Soup as inspiration for my page.

In the close ups you can view the details better.

In the close up you can view the fun background splatter and stamping, fun layers of paper for depth and colour along with a cute punched butterfly and clustered flowers with leaves.

This view shows the accent cluster with stamping, paper layers and some inked chipboard accents.

This section showcases the title cluster with stamping in the background, a paper fussy cut title and an added inked arrow word.  Over the bottom of the photo is yet another inked chipboard accent.

Thanks for visiting.. I love sharing family memories using fabulous products with you.
