Mother´s Day Card

Happy Friday!

Here Noe with a new project for The Rubby Buggy Blog.

First Sunday in May is Mother's Day in Spain ... so here is the card that I made for that special day (dedicated to my mom :)

To make this card I used this Rubby Buggy godies:

I created my own background paper using distress inks and holographic embossing powder and the embossing resist technique.

Love Wild Orchid Crafts Flowers!!! They are very easy to use and are so pretty...

Finally, banner is a Wplus9 stamp that I cut and placed in the top corners of the card.

I hope you like my project and I hope it inspires you to play.

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today with a Thinking of You card featuring an assortment of products from the store.

This Prima Marketing stamp is a wonderful addition to their line of stamps and is perfect for those "guy" cards we all need and seem to have a hard time creating. He was colored with Copic Markers, then fussy cut.

I used a legal sized card and adhered Bazzill cardstock on the front. A strip of Graphic 45's Christmas line was added to the left side. Such a perfect addition and doesn't look Christmasy at all on the card.

A sentiment from Stampavie was added to the top.

Blue Fern Studios "Sanctuary" Cards with Netra

Hey everyone !!

Netra here.

So excited to be sharing my first project for

The Rubber Buggy with you all.

I decided to cut into the Blue Fern Studio - Sanctuary - Garden Plaza

Its was so pretty I did not want to cover up too much of it. So I took the corners of the page and

added them to various cards sizes.

Most of the time when I make cards, I tend to make them in sets. I don't know why.

I can't help my self.

To get the most random card sizes, I took a 12x12 sheet of Marshmallow Bazzill Card Shoppe

paper. Cut at 4 1/2 inches, then slide the paper over in my trimmer and cut at 4 inches, then I had a skinny piece left over. Folded them all

in half and got some card bases.

I added a few flowers in
20mm Mulberry Open Roses Mint Green

and

10mm Mulberry Open Roses Light Mocha

I hope you enjoy these cards. They were fun and easy to put together.

Darling child scrapbook layout

Hi everyone!

Pi here with another scrapbook layout.
Did you see Bev's gorgeous layout yesterday?
One can only do ones best to follow that - LOL!

The journaling is acutally the lyric from a Swedish song by Jessica Nilsson, that I read as a poem on my son's Christening. It simply says how much we've longed for our child and how our lifes has a new meaning and purpose now.

I mixed products from my stash with great pieces from The Rubber Buggy store. The background is a textured cardstock from my stash, but if you are looking for more muted tones, please check out Pion Designs palette papers. They are sturdier than their pattern papers and I'm pretty sure that Pion blue IV is a good match to the colour I've used.

I'm very happy with my combination of different embellishments to add texture and depht to my page. The white lace is perfectly dainty and yet, simple enough to fit a boy layout. I tried a number of venice drop lace, but it just looked to girly for my taste. Underneath the green lace from my stash I layered a white grossgrain ribbon. I'm super excited to have found such a good use of a doily. Love them, but they rarely look good on my projects from some reason? But here I thought it was the perfect match :)
My favorite pieces however on this layout is the shabby staples from Graphic 45. They add just a little weight to the layout.

Super exciting Monday - Textures, Accents and a Tutorial

Today I'd like to share some easy ways to add texture and depth to your pages.

This close up shows a punched border .. but then add a mat with great colour to pop through for layers and depth. Ink the edges for even more depth and shadowing.

This section shows a piece of paper that I embossed then inked to give both texture, depth but a great vintage look too.

This close up shows more texture and depth by adding layers.using some stencils and inking them. Also note the mat behind the rubon title with even more inking on the edges. Slip a doily way back behind with all the great design and texturing too.

Not only did we texture and ink the paper in this section we added a punched border for more design, depth and texure. Both the upper and lower slanted borders adds more dementions to the page also especially with the matting and colour.

There is nothing more elegant than a beautiful cluster of flowers and accents. All 3d looking with chipboard coloured using copic markers, a metal key tied up with timeless twine, flowers and even beaded floral. Now add a multi layers beaded border to base the photo.

Now for the fun part. Making your very own varigated butterfly accent using matching paper from the layout. It is so easy to co-ordinate to your projects of all kinds... and butterflies are perfect accent for so many themes and creative projects.

Here is the printable sheet of instructions to be printed on 8.5x 11" paper.

After watching the short easy You tube tutorial .. you will be able to make the varigated butterfly to add to any of your projects using products your already have in your stash that co-ordinate with your project.

Here is the close up of the accented section with the butterfly and I also added a timeless twine flight trail. What a great clustered section to add to any project.
